Now all is done, silence so deep,
The echoes of what we had, all that now peep,
You talk of me, of how I still remain,
Like a shadow cast, against your will in vain.You speak of me getting under your skin,
A presence unwanted where love should have been,
But beneath the surface, what did you find?
Only broken promises as hollow as the wind.My heart, full then, with a love so pure,
Held for you a passion that could have endure,
Yet now it beats in solemn grief,
For love, that was mine alone, beyond belief.Your sweet words liars now, in thin disguise,
A mask of love, where no heart doth rise,
For in your heart, there was not a place
Only an emptiness, a cold, dark space.I gave it all-all of me, my soul unmasked-
But no solace; no love to clasp;
Only empty promises, a mean game,
Now the only residue is the burning shame.Now all is done, silence so deep,
The echoes of what we had, all that now peep.
