Jungkook couldn't ignore the tension it caused. Despite his best efforts to keep his feelings in check, he couldn't deny the pull he felt towards her. The desire to be near her, was overwhelming.

When Ria stepped out into the corridor, Jungkook saw his chance. He followed her, his heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and desire. As she walked towards the corridor, he gently but firmly took her wrist, pulling her into the nearby fire exit. The door shut behind them, enclosing them in the narrow space.

"Jungkook, what's going on?" Ria asked, her voice tinged with confusion and concern.

Jungkook hesitated, unable to express his true feelings. He couldn't admit he wanted to stay close to her, to shield her from Taehyung's presence. Instead, he muttered, "I still have some doubts about the schedule. I didn't want to ask in front of everyone."

Ria's eyes narrowed slightly, sensing his lie but choosing not to confront him. She played along, her voice softening. "What doubts?"

"Just about the next rehearsal," Jungkook said, his voice lacking conviction. "Whether we're meeting in the practice room first or going straight to the studio."

Ria gave him a knowing look, a small, sad smile tugging at her lips. "We're meeting in the practice room first. But you already knew that, didn't you?"

Jungkook looked away, feeling exposed. He wanted nothing more than to be near her, to offer her comfort and protection. He was about to say something when they heard the fire exit door creak open.

Jungkook's instincts took over. He pressed her back against the wall, his body shielding hers. The close proximity made their breaths mingle, their heartbeats quickening. Ria's heart raced with a mixture of fear and forbidden excitement.

Jungkook's hands found her waist, holding her gently but firmly. The tension between them was electric, their faces inches apart. Ria's gaze dropped, unable to meet his eyes, fearing what would happen if she did.

As the staff member continued talking, Jungkook's hand moved to cradle the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her hair. The pressure from the door brought their lips together in a fleeting, shocking touch. They both froze, their eyes wide with surprise.

He had tried so hard to be just a friend, to keep his emotions in check, but now, with her lips against his, Jungkook's lips moved against hers with a deep, hungry passion, a reflection of all he had been holding back. He pulled her closer, deepening the kiss as if trying to capture everything he had felt for so long.

Ria's thoughts of Taehyung faded into the background as she melted into Jungkook's kiss, her hands clutching at his shirt, pulling him closer. The taste of him, the feel of his lips moving against hers, was everything she had been denying herself. There was a depth to the kiss, an intensity that neither of them could control, fueled by months of unspoken desire.

But then, the reality of Taehyung's anger hit her with a jolt. The fear of what he might do if he found out, the dread of losing everything she had, forced her to pull away. She broke the kiss, her breath coming in ragged gasps. "Jungkook... no... I'm sorry, this was a mistake. I... I belong to Taehyung."

Jungkook's heart sank at her words. He could see the conflict in her eyes, the way her heart betrayed her mind.He felt a mix of sadness and resolve as he watched her, knowing that he had to respect her decision, even though it was tearing him apart.

He also knew the reality of their situation. Taehyung wasn't just anyone-he was her fiancé, a possessive one at that, and Ria had always been careful around him, perhaps out of fear, perhaps out of obligation. Jungkook felt a pang of guilt for pushing her into this situation, but he didn't regret the kiss. It had confirmed what he had always known deep down-she belonged with him.
