Hollow Knight: The Horrid Vessel

Chapter 1

As times began to grow wearier in Hallownest, deep within Deepnest a large looming doom began to set its course for all Hallownest. Spiders roamed all over the place as they heard the loud thundering steps of a large force coming their way, as all the spiders and other dark creatures of the nest hid away in fear at the sight and sound of the large being as it walked along the path towards the keep of which the old queen lay, the beast’s den. All watched in horror as this large force made its way to the den.

Inside the den the followers of Herrah sat besides her as they all watched and kept the keep safe form harm until they too began to hear the loud rumbling coming from outside, they all ventured close to the exit of the den. The followers looked at one another as one of them went outside to see what the commotion was while the rest stayed inside, it would only be a couple of moments before the follower and what was left of them came crashing through the roof of the den falling on top of the makeshift bench they made a while back.

“What the devil is going on??” said one of them as they went to check on their brethren’s remains while the rest looked up to see a figure come into view from the hole

“Whose there?” shouted one of the followers as they all then saw an oddly looking spider come into view.

“Hello again comrades, it has been a long time hasn’t it” replied the unknown spider as it looked down at them

“It can’t be…Moochie? Is that you?” said one of the followers

“Finally, someone recognizes me, it’s been a long-time old friend, how is dear old Herrah? Still dreaming I assume, tis the word around this deep hovel of ours” said Moochie as she began to make her way down the den towards the followers

“M-Moochie, your supposed to be in exiled!” shouted another follower

“Thanks to you fools Deepnest is now just a shell of what it used to be, Look at this place, to poor Herrah…I will make this place right and that starts with the complete destruction of Hallownest and tearing down everything that pale king ever loved and cared about!” shouted Moochie

“You’ll never get away with any of this! there are still plenty of knights left here to stop you!” said one of the followers as suddenly a large hand came bursting through the den grabbing three of the followers and another large hand grabbing two of them. As they were pulled out that’s when they finally saw what was making all those loud quakes from before, a large giant spider like being, its head and body covered in armor and as tall as if not taller then the whole kingdom of deepnest.

“Oh and this is my loving partner Tarantula, funny enough you guys didn’t even realize that there was a unique species of arachnid hiding right under your noses” laugh Moochie as she then snapped her claws and instantly Tarantula crushed the followers with his mighty hands and killed all instantly dropping their bodies into the pit below filled wit bugs and more, all the inhabitants of deepnest watched this tracery unfold and the mid-wife herself looked away in disgust.

Tarantula then punched a hole right into Herrah’s tomb where her body lay dormant, Moochie lay her palms on Herrah’s corpse as Tarantula watched from the opening. He never did understand Moochie’s fascination with Herrah especially after being exiled, but he knew better then to judge her for her ways.

“This is…I knew Herrah, she loved spider-kind and never would have asked for such a horrible fate such as this.” Moochie said with sadness in her voice while Tarantula was just standing idly by.
