This book contains dark themes such as but not limited to:

Unsettling father/(adopted) daughter relationship (not pedophilia but icky none-the-less, rlly depends on your interpretation)
Emotional abuse
Underaged substance use, drinking and drugs
Manipulation (mass amounts)
Violence (high levels)
torture
murder
murder in very gory ways
bar fights that get nasty
If anything here could make you uncomfortable, queasy or become a trigger for you please turn away. This book is meant for a mature audience.
The relationship isn't dark but the content is.
This takes place in a mafia-like setting with many twists and turns and does not take a lighthearted approach to topics like abuse and manipulation.
The only light part about this is the very few chapters of bonding/fluff between the female lead and male lead.
It starts off mild but becomes extremely dark towards the end before lightning up again.
I will not take accountability for the reader who knows they may be triggered by dark topics then proceeds to read.
I can not stress enough that this gets dark and descriptive as it's told in the first person.
