Rosaleen’s PoV
I paced around my room, my steps soft on the carpet floor. It had been hours since she had gone missing from her room. The police questioned me, again, and again, and again. Like no one believed me about my alibi, I was in my own room. Trying to find an escape from the old hell I lived in, and without my sister it was a newer fresher hell.
I snapped from my stupor looking around, I wasn’t in my bedroom back in Ireland I was in my Frostheim bedroom, pacing still on the hardwood flooring. I shivered slightly at the memories of my old bedroom with its magenta walls and its burgundy carpets, and the vanilla cream color my mother chose for the rest of the house.
A knock made me jump as I stepped towards the door, swinging it open for my guest, Luca stepped in his purple iris’ stared at me sad and betrayed.
“Kaito told me you were going to talk to Jin and the Chancellor about a transfer to… Vagastrom?” He asked, clutching my shoulders and shaking violently, as if trying to shake some sense into me.
I stopped him short, my eyes sad as I stared at him. I couldn’t quite process it myself. It had been a week since my drunk confession of wanting to move to Vagastrom, my lip quivered when I remembered that I did have friends here, like Kaito, Luca, and Suzuran.
“I don’t belong here Luca… It’s hard for me to feel like I fit in. I am so… Different. That just… Doesn’t feel right.” I explained and Luca dropped his arms sadly as he sighed and nodded, accepting my answer as I hugged myself.
“So… You’re really gonna leave?” Kaito wailed from my door, I sighed as he strides towards me hugging me tightly. I let out a squeak of shock, air leaving my lungs as Kaito bear hugged me tightly, I managed to squirm out of the hug.
“I have to Kai. It’s best for me.” I explained again and he huffed and sniffled, nodding slightly, I hated not belonging. It happened too often for me growing up.
“Go do what you have to.” Lucas said and I nodded, my steps not taking me out of my open door and through familiar Frostheim halls. All the way to the heart of Frostheim where Jin’s room lay at the top of the stairs, I rolled my eyes to Tohma who was stepping out of the vault. I ignored him as I walked by, taking the staircase by 2’s as I got to the top, I was about to knock the special knock when the door opened suddenly. Suzuran stepping into the hall and bumping into me making me step back in shock, I raised an amused brow.
“It’s not what you think.” She tried to cover but I shook my head in absolute glee at the House Liaison. I only laughed and patted her arm.
“No worries, I won’t tell. But can you get me in to see him, it's important.” I said looking past her, into Jin Kamurai’s room and she looked at me confused.
“What’s up dear?” Her honey calm voice asked, her naturally seductive eyes looked me up and down not wearing the usual blazer or suit that most Frostheim students wear and she frowned.
“You’re coming to ask if he will transfer you… To a different house.” She concluded, my brows knit together that she figured it out that quickly.
“How-” I went to ask, when I heard the chilling voice of Jin behind Suzuran.
“Because, we were just talking about it.” He said his cold eyes staring me down, calculating and angry for no reason. It made me bristle slightly as I stared back not standing down, I hated men like this the ones who think domination is how the world works.
“I wanted to ask if I could transfer to Vagastrom.” I said bluntly, my eyes trained in anger on the Frostheim Captain. Jin didn’t flinch or show any sign of reaction, his eyes flicking to Suzuran before he huffed and nodded, he retreated back into his room, the door closed with a hard thud.
