"Snap!"
The click of the camera sounded as soon as Taehyung pressed the button. He reviwed the photo carefully and smiled with satisfaction when it perfectly highlighted the pretty boy's features. Jimin was by far the prettiest boy Taehyung had come across.
From the first time his eyes fell on the angelic beauty, Jimin became Taehyung's favourite photography muse. They weren't friends. Not yet atleast. And no, he was not stalking Jimin.
He just liked take pictures of pretty things. He couldn't help curve his lips upwards when he saw Jimin squeal as one of his friends caught hold of him and twirled him around.
Jimin was one of the most popular and social boy in their grade. He participated in a lot of co-curricular activities like debates and speeches. He was a skilled dancer and held the power to mesmerize the audience with his movements and expressions.
Taehyung once has the privilage to listen to his soft voice when he sang in the music class and how he wished he had a similar voice. He was alluring, captivating, gentle but adorably sassy. Taehyung often wondered how such a person could even exist. Clearly, God had spent a lot of time creating him.
And the total opposite was Taehyung. He believed he wasn't made for spotlight. He prefered to wrok by himself in the corner. He wasn't much into chit-chating (blame it on the toxic friendship he was a part of years back) and was socially awkward.
He loved to sing, not exactly liking his voice but not hating it either. He would sit hours on the lawn before their school, painting away the melodies in his mind.
Once or twice he had wondered if he should paint a picture of Jimin but had ultimately decided against it, thinking that his skills would not be able to do justice to the beauty. But stashed away under a pile of notebooks, in the pages of his sketch book lay a sketch of Jimin.
Unlike Jimin, he did not have many friends either. Scratch that. He had none. Taehyung's different way of percieving things and working adding to his social awkwardness was to be blamed. The only friend he had lived miles away, in another city.
He knew people liked him, but that was only for his looks. His vibes came out at odd to others (that's what he overheard from a group which was gossiping at the back of the school one day) but he didn't mind it much, prefering to stay true to himself rather then change for the sake of others. He rarely participated in co-curricular activities but often found himself attending them just to watch Jimin in his prime. His favourite up to date was the dance compition where Jimin had performed a solo, a beautiful contemporary dance about a swan.
His possessed a deep passion for photography, much like his late father, so he had gone ahead and applied for the course, pursuing painting as a hobby for now.
Taehyung even won the first place in the wildlife photography contest in his school, a memory he held close to his heart. Snapping out of his daze at the sound of the bell, he quickly shut the camera and ran towards his last class.
Later that day he sat in the nearby park, drawing a mother duck and her young ones hoping to go home and paint it. He carried a small bag with his sketch book, drawing materials and a camera with him. You never know where inspiration can strike.
Feeling a little tired, he placed the book down, yawning and stretching himself a little. He looked around, taking the greenery, the sound of children playing and the overall peaceful atmosphere that prevailed in the park.
His eyes then fell on the group of students playing badminton at a distance.
A nostalgic smile graced his face, memories of him and his father playing together. Taehyung used to be a district level champion, almost taking up badminton professionally but then he and his father me with an accident, he survived but his father succumbed to his injuries after spending three weeks in ICU.
