The seminar was over after the vote of thanks by the university administrator and all the students started leaving the hall while some of them went to take pictures with Duan Jiaxu who was on the stage being surrounded by students who were in queue to take pictures of him.
Lin Xiaoyan didn't expect the older guy to be so popular ─── she is aware of his popularity but never witnessed. She chuckled and nudge her bestfriend as she handed her a small candy "Seems like you will have a hard time trying to not get jealous. Your crush is too popular"
Lan Ningyi let our a deep sigh and quickly unwrapped the candy before stuffing it inside her mouth. She could only look at him from a distance and seeing how the girls were surrounding him for a picture kind of made her feel a little jealous but she gave herself a quick reality check and said, "I can't help myself but I am in no position to be jealous of him or the girls. He doesn't even know my silly little crush on him"
The two besties collected their stuffs and went out of the auditorium. They went around the hallways and clicked some pictures to reminisce as well as keep a picture for memories because, they might not visit the university for few years due to their work schedule. They went to the canteen and got their favourite snack which they ate almost everyday while they were a sophomore.
"Nothing changed. It's still the same"
Ningyi felt some strange emotions building up inside her as she come across the small garden. She could vividly see her younger self who used to sit near the willow tree as she try to complete her assignments while munching on a bread, trying to complete different task at a time.
She walked up to the tree that was still the same and a smile formed on her lips. While she was busy reminiscing the past, Xiaoyan quickly snapped some candid shots of her bestie because it was hard to not ─── when she looked so pretty and innocent.
The soft breeze was slowly blowing her hair strands and the sunlight that kissed her cheeks made her skin glow like the honey. Xiaoyan knows that her best-friend is pretty but every time she looks at her, she always surprises herself.
God really took his time while he made Xiao-Yi.
