"Mere dil ne ,Chunlaye ne
Tere dil diya Raha
Tu jo mere naal toh rehta
Turpe meri ha saha"As I turned slowly, my eyes met Vedansh's brown ones. They were fixed on me, then shifting to the glass of milk in my hand. My nerves shot up instantly.
He began taking deliberate steps towards me, his presence commanding and unyielding. As he approached, my anxiety peaked and before I could even think to react, he reached out and took the glass from me. Without breaking eye contact, he brought it to his lips and drank it, finishing it in one smooth motion. There was something about the way he did it—confident, almost as if he was silently conveying that we were in this together, no matter how strange or unfamiliar the situation.
As he set the empty glass down on the side table, Vedansh began to take slow, deliberate steps towards me again. My heart raced, and before I knew it, I reflexively stepped back. But my retreat was short-lived—my legs hit the edge of the bed, and I ended up landing on it, my breath catching in my throat.
Vedansh didn’t stop. He continued closing the distance between us, his eyes never leaving mine. There was something in his expression—a mix of curiosity and warmth, as if he was trying to read my thoughts, to understand what I was feeling.
I found myself leaning back on my elbows, unsure of what to do next. My mind raced with a thousand thoughts, but none of them seemed to make sense in that moment. Vedansh lifted his hand and brought it closer to me. In a reflexive motion, I closed my eyes, bracing myself for whatever was about to happen. When I felt no touch, I hesitantly opened my eyes.
To my surprise, Vedansh was now standing a few steps away from me, holding a pillow in his hands. A slight, almost mischievous smile played on his lips, which he seemed to be trying hard to control. His unexpected gesture left me feeling a mix of relief and confusion.
I quickly turned to look at my back and got to know the pillow was now gone and that’s when it hit me. He was taking the pillow and I was thinking far away from this. I became embarrassed and quickly got up from the bed and started correcting my dress and awkwardly smiled at him and said “ i have to change” and then without wasting any single second i uplifted my lehnga a little and ran inside the washroom.
