17. Gummy smile

"I mean I don't like you but I like your attitude and your dressing sense and the way you fight damn those punches also the way you walk and and ....."

"Jimin, I get it. Did you come to watch the match or what?"

Jimin tried hard to cover up what he said which he absolutely doesn't mean but he got interrupted by Yoongi asking him so casually about what he is doing here. Like he thought may be Yoongi gonna punch him square in his face but he definitely didn't expect a calm, friendly, sweet Yoongi.

"No, I came to Join the team." Jimin answered a bit hesitant.

Yoongi motioned him to sit beside him on the bleachers which again caught him off-guard.

"Hoseok won't let you join the team so easily. He is a strict one. Will check first. Do you play well?" Yoongi started a normal conversation.

"Umm yeah kind of good. You know Hoseok?"

"Yeah we were together in school in same class"

"But he is a senior"

"Yes, I couldn't join the college instantly, needed to take drop for financial issues"

Jimin nodded.

"I understand. So well you and I are same age then. I was about to ask you to call me hyung, haha." Jimin tried to make the conversation a bit fun but instantly regretted when he saw seriousness in Yoongi's face.

Until, Yoongi suddenly laughed. The laugh well Jimin can swear he never saw such beautiful and innocent smile. His gums were visible, nose scrunching and he looked so cute. The dark aura that he always radiates seemed like a facade cause this smile can definitely not be the false one. Watching him smile brought an instant smile in Jimin's face as well.

They sat on the bleachers for a bit long. They both skipped classes and now it was dark.

The entire time they were having the most casual conversations. One of them being Yoongi's favourite sea food shop. Jimin never had much freedom to visit restaurants in daegu. So the way Yoongi explained how good the food taste. He requested Yoongi to take him there once. And surprisingly Yoongi not only agreed but asked him to go with him tonight only.

They are currently walking towards the shop Yoongi mentioned. While walking they still kept on talking about random things. Nothing personal.

"That's the shop. Let's get inside. I am sure you will love it" Yoongi said with slight excitement in his voice.

They both entered and sat on one of the table with two chairs.

Jimin looked around and noticed the shop isn't that big nor looked much pricy. It is a decent shop with minimal decorations.

"Yoongi, what am I seeing. Did you really bring someone with you" An elderly woman came with a bright smile and an astonished face.

"He never tried sea food in daegu. So I brought him here. Definitely no place can do justice with sea food like you do grandma" Yoongi said with a smug feel in his face as he winked at the older lady.

"Today you seem to be in a good mood. Anyway what your name?" The older woman looked at Jimin as she asked.

"Jimin, thank you for having me here"

"You are such a sweet guy Jimin, how come you got stuck with this grumpy guy. Nevermind but he did one thing correct by bringing you here. I will bring the specialities of the shop. Wait" with this she left to bring the food.

"Yoongi, hey umm let's not spend too much." Jimin said as he has it in his mind about Yoongi's sister's hospital bills.

"Don't worry Jimin. It's on me"

"Hey no you need money now don't waste here."

"What?"

Shit.

"I mean you said your financial situation is not well so you will need money right"

"I can manage, one day won't be big deal. Lets stop arguing okay. Just enjoy the food."

Jimin nodded. He didn't extend this conversation much. Yoongi didn't say anything about his sister so talking about it will only create awkwardness. Well Jimin isn't something different. He did hide his whole individuality.

"Yoongi , the food was amazing. I mean I did eat sea food few times in Seoul but this one is the best. Thank you for making my day" Jimin voiced out, happiness can be heard in each syllable.

Yoongi nodded with a little smile on his lips.

They had their dinner and now on their way to their resting places.

"You didn't attend any fight today?" Jimin asked as he became a bit free around Yoongi now.

"No, I took a break."

"Hmm"

Jimin wanted to ask so much. If he was able to arrange money, if his sister is well now but he doesn't want to cross the line of their new found friendship.

Friendship. Yes Jimin definitely planned to get close to Yoongi back then for a purpose. But he stepped back. And now within one day even he doesn't know how they become so comfortable around each other. He respects Yoongi a lot. And now Yoongi, the criminal have suddenly become so likeable to Jimin that he finally asked.

"Hey Yoongi, I don't know much about you neither you do about me. But I understood atleast that much you are a nice guy. Specially after today my thoughts towards you changed. I know you like to be alone and all but I guess having friends around feels good. I fortunately have Tae and I won't mind to have you too. So can we become friends?"

"I thought we already are" Yoongi said with a offcourse tone.

"Damn you look so unapproachable as the grandma said grumpy guy. But you are a sweetheart. Remember how you threatened me lol. " Jimin and Yoongi both laughed at that and kept walking .

"Hey tomorrow I will have a match so come I guess."

"Time"

"I don't know I will know tomorrow"

"Okay then text me tomorrow" Yoongi took out his phone and handed it to Jimin
"Save your number".

Jimin did and they took their own paths afterward.

"Jimin, where were you the whole class. You missed all of them. Take my notes" Taehyung informed as soon as Jimin stepped inside the room. He handed Jimin his notes.

"I told you football right" Jimin avoided looking at Taehyung while answering.

"Yeah anyway so did you get selected?" Taehyung asked as he sat on his own bed prepared to sleep.

"No not yet, tomorrow I have a match, based on that I will get selected." Jimin said as he got inside bathroom to freshen up.

After finishing taking notes, Jimin was ready to sleep when he received a text.

Yoongi here, save my number. See you tomorrow. You will do good at the match.

Jimin smiled instantly.He never thought Yoongi will turn out to be someone like this.But he is glad, Yoongi let his guards fall a bit. He placed himself at Yoongi's place several times and he found out he would do the same Yoongi did. Obviously he isn't defending his crimes but his petty crimes are still reversible.Atleast he didn't commit some big crimes like murder.

Talking about murder, tomorrow Tzuyu will resume classes.And they have to start their plans soon.
