We are in the 6th century of the royal calendar. Humanity has learned the use of magic and developed it as much as possible. In addition to its use on the battlefield, magic is also used in everyday life, from having water to making fire. The Kingdom of England became weaker after the death of the hero of light, but its territory did not decrease. We are in London, the capital of the kingdom, where peace reigns supreme.
Artoria Pendragon, a simple country farmer, lives her normal life in the fields. She never knew his father and his mother died when she was young. She was able to live on her own thanks to her family's inheritance and the various merchants who helped her. Every day is a routine: early in the morning he thinks about the fields, in the afternoon she goes to sell his goods, then buys something and in the evening she goes home to prepare for the next day.

On a very normal day everything changed. Artoria was selling vegetables from her lands when news arrived: the sword of light of legend has returned. Everyone runs to see the sacred weapon and finds it on a rock in the woods.

Next to the sword there was an inscription:
"A new evil is returning. Only a pure spirit will be able to draw the sword and fight the enemy. The hero of light will return to save his people and his world."
Many people try to get it out without success. Suddenly the prince heir to the throne of the Kingdom arrives, together with some of his guards, to see the situation. He has always been hated by the people because of his character. He never paid for what he took and sometimes purposely caused disturbances to the citizens.
Amazed by the light of the weapon, he also tries to take it out, swearing that he would be able to get it. He uses all the strength he has, showing a pitiful scene. Some citizens laugh at him, others make fun of him. Angry, he orders the guards to silence his people and immediately afterwards there is total silence. The day continued with lots of people trying to get the sword and failing. Artoria also arrives, sees the bad moment and returns to her stall where she sells her products. The heir spots her among the spectators and gets an idea.
The sun was setting and Artoria was preparing to go home, when she was stopped by the guards and taken away. She reaches before the prince in the forest where the sword was present. He, smiling, orders the girl to extract the sacred sword from the stone and, if she didn't succeed, she would go to prison. The heir uses the excuse that Artoria did not try to draw the sword and therefore did not voluntarily listen to the words of the hero of light. She immediately reiterates that it is an injustice, but the prince does not want to hear excuses. With no escape Artoria slowly approaches the weapon and takes its hilt.
A strong light illuminates the sword which is finally drawn, but soon after the weapon disappears. Not understanding the situation, the heir blames the young girl for having destroyed his ancestor's sacred object and orders the guards to imprison her immediately.
