Buggy's Torment

An Offer

???: "There are many people to choose from. Which one will use this gift wisely? Let me look through the list one more."

The mysterious figure looks through a list of names. They look over every single name multiple times on the list and looks at each individual's profile. The purpose of this list is still unknown. Eventually, the entity's eyes fall on one person.

???: "Hm. There isn't much information on this one. Their profile merely says that they are very creative and unpredictable. It does not say whether or not they are evil. Maybe this person can give us some entertainment. I've made my decision. Let's see what choice this person makes."

(Earth)

You: "Now that my long day is over, there's only one thing to do. Time to watch my favorite One Piece scenes. Nothing makes me laugh more than seeing Buggy's reactions."

Since you were so focused on One Piece, you didn't notice the bright light flashing in your room. The mysterious entity walks out of the light and grows towards you. 

???: "Excuse me."

You still couldn't hear them as you are too focused.

???: "Um. Can you hear me?"

Their words still do not reach you as you are busy laughing at One Piece. They were not expecting that getting your attention would be such a challenge. They get close to you, and somehow you still do not notice them.

???: "HELLO!"

You: "WHA-OW!"

The shock of someone yelling in your ears makes you slip off your bed and hit the floor. Then you quickly get up and turn to the person who startled you. You look at them in confusion.

You: "Who are you and how did you get into my house?"

???: "Finally. I've been here for a few minutes. I could've stolen everything in your here and you wouldn't have noticed. Now that you've finally noticed me. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rei. I've come to make you an offer."

You: "Ok? Before you get to this very suspicious offer, answer how you got here."

Rei: "Ah yes. Nice to meet you. I am a being that is tasked with finding individuals who have the ability to entertain higher beings. I got here through my portal. You would've noticed if you weren't so focused on your show."

You: "Oh. Sorry. I get very focused when watching One Piece. So, about this offer of yours, I try not to accept things from strangers, so I'm not interested, so you can leave. I'm going back to watching my show."

Rei stands there in disbelief. It seems that this person has accepted that Rei is an angel, but watching One Piece is more important. 

Rei: "Um, maybe you can at least hear me out. This isn't something that is offered to most mortals."

You: "Don't care. You give me the highlights of your offer; I say yes, and then next thing I know, I'm in some Dark Souls scenario. No thanks."

Rei: "But."

You: "If you want, you can watch some One Piece with me."

Rei, unsure of what to do, decides that watching this show might help them connect with this person. If they can form a relationship of some kind, you might be willing to listen. With that, Rei sits down next to you to watch the show. 

You: "Have you ever seen One Piece before?"

Rei: "I'm too busy to stop for shows."

You: "So no. I'll start from the beginning. Since you are here to ask for my help, I think you got time."

You start from episode one. You've seen this episode so many times that you could recite everything word for word. You look next to you and see that Rei is already hooked. You doubt that they even remember that you are here. You smile at the fact that you created another fan. Soon, you reach the introduction of Buggy the Clown. It's hard to forget Buggy with his distinct features like his clown hat, odd hair, and you can't forget, the big red nose, which he gets angry at when you talk about it. Nothing can defeat his reactions. Buggy get beaten up and sent flying and both you and Rei are both laughing by the end of the episode.

You: "So, I'm guessing you liked it."

Rei: "Yes. It was quite enjoyable. I'll have to continue it on my own. Now, on to my offer."

You: "No."

Rei: "WHY!?" 

You: "You didn't explain anything about this offer. You just watched One Piece with me. So you got more out of this than me."

As everything you said was true, Rei could only stand their speechless.

Rei: "Ok. If you let me explain everything. Will you consider it?"

You: "I doubt I'll say yes, but you can try."

Rei: "As I said, you have been chosen to provide entertainment for higher beings. I shall provide a stage of your choice and supply you with what you need in order to accomplish whatever it is you want to do."

You: "So, if I wanted to go and destroy a world, you'd help?"

Rei: "We try to avoid people who think that is enjoyable."

You: "Interesting. Still not I'm going to accept though."

A look of concern grows on Rei's face. She does not know what to do if you say no. She tries to think of a way to convince you to say yes. Her eyes fall on your TV, and she gets an idea.

Rei: "You could even go into the One Piece world."

You: "Why didn't you start with that!?" 

In your excitement, you jump up and get in Rei's face. Rei gets startled and falls to the floor.

Rei: "Um. Does that mean you accept?"

You: "Count me in. I can finally live out my dream that would normally never come true."

Rei: "Good. Now take my hand, and we shall go."

You take Rei's hand, and you both are overtaken by a bright light. The next thing you know, you are on the edge of an island. Water as far as the eyes can see.

You: "Where are we?"

Rei: "We are on a random island in the world of One Piece. There's almost no life on this island. We didn't want to attract anyone dangerous by our sudden appearance. Now that we are here, tell me what it is you plan to do."

You: "I'm going to throw rocks at Buggy."

Rei: "Excuse me?"

You: "I'm going to throw rocks at Buggy in a way that will drive him insane."

Rei: "I think I made the wrong choice."

You: "Don't worry. You wanted entertainment, and you'll get it. Buggy isn't going to know what hit him. You said you will get me what I need, right?"

Rei: "I already regret this. So what is it you are going to need?"

You: "I need you to find me a devil fruit. One that can lock on to a target, and I can send things to the target."

Rei: "And you want to send rocks at Buggy with this fruit? And why do you want to do this? I thought you liked Buggy."

You: "It's because I like Buggy. His expressions are the greatest. Just the smallest thing drives him insane. I want to see just how crazy I can make him. And with that, I have to start with rocks."

Rei: "Ok. I'll look for a devil fruit matches what you are looking for. I hope I don't regret this."

You: "I don't know if this counts as entertainment, but this is definitely going to make me laugh.
