"I can't believe Poseidon lost!" Giovanni exclaimed as he and Ana watched an anime series on Netflix.

"I knew he was gonna lose." Ana boasted with a smile. She folded her arms across her chest and leaned back.

"You lost hope when that sword broke. Please stop acting like you knew." Giovanni playfully pushed her.

The two were cuddled up on the couch, watching an episode of Record of Ragnarok. Giovanni had started the show by himself, but had only watched two episodes before getting Anastasia hooked on the show. He had started from the beginning, being sure not to give her any spoilers.

"Unlike you I remembered that Hrist had two sides to her, the trembling one and the thundering one. I knew that sword was gonna make a come back. Thank you very much, sir." Ana said, folding her arms across her chest.

"Whatever." Giovanni shook his head, a light laugh escaping his lips.

"Kojiro said he tired of losing. Sliced Poseidon's ass up like steak meat." Ana laughed as Giovanni stale faced her. "Cheer up, hon."

Since the other night, the two had been spending a lot of time with one another. When Ana wasn't at the dance studio or with Kimora, she was with Giovanni. She had completely distanced herself from her family, with the exception of Armon. Her mother had been texting and calling her, but she had been ignoring her. The last message she looked at mentioned Thanksgiving dinner, which would be in three days.

"It's them bringing our Hercules for me. He's a demigod." Ana rolled her eyes as they continued to watch the show.

"It's Jack the Ripper for me." Giovanni told her before pausing the show. He turned to look at her. "So, what you got planned for the holiday?"

Ana let out a sigh. "Nothing really. My mom's been blowing me up about Thanksgiving dinner at the house, but I have no intentions of going."

"I think you should go." Giovanni told her.

Ana's head snapped in his direction, her eyes like daggers as they stared at him. "And why the hell do you think that?"

"Continue to stand your ground. Pretend you're waving the white flag to have one peaceful day. If that fails, then you make your final decision from there." Giovanni explained to her.

"I do not want to deal with my dad." Ana protested.

"It's not about your dad. Show up for your mom. He's the one you're angry with, not her." Giovanni told her.

"I guess." Ana sighed as she leaned back on the couch. "I'll think harder on it if you gave me a kiss."

Giovanni laughed at her antics, but obliged anyways. He cupped her face into his hands and pressed his lips against hers.
