Scar nervously looks around, plenty of people crowd together, laughing and talking. But it all seems so.. fake. In Scar's eyes at least.
All the fancy but same-y suits, nice dresses that make Scar uneasy. It isn't his type of environment, that's for sure. He's used to laughing kids, or in awe slash confused adults! Or his funny friends.
Not fancy shmancy humans, or stuck up looking hybrids. No offence to them all, of course. Scar just prefers more down to earth people.
Scar walks over to the long table covered with dishes of food and he thinks back to why he is here. Cub's fault. Cub said it'd be good for Scar to attend because of their "money problems." Scar is good ignoring those debts and bills and treating his friends, thank you very much!
But, of course, Cub just had to force Scar into an unfamiliar environment just because he didn't want to go. Scar grabs what he thinks is a little sandwich from the long table and thinks. Why did Cub not want to go again?
Scar looks around and his eyes land on a particular group, they are spread out and mingling with other people, but it's obvious who and what they are. Popular, fancy, well known to pretty much all.
Vampires.
Scar notices a younger looking vampire, although he could actually be really old, in a corner. People are around him, some girls probably flirting, and others who just seem to be wanting to start a conversation. He just ignores them, staring at the table and food in front of him with his hand in his pocket.
He seems to be either overwhelmed, or is one of those people who thinks they're too important for anyone to be able to talk to them. So, when he finally stands while some of the people are distracted and tries to sneak away, Scar naturally goes to follow. He has to keep two girls from following the poor guy, then exits the grand room after him.
Scar has a tendency to follow the peculiar or those who interest him.
Scar finds him in another more comfortable room down a hallway with big windows that let you see the outside road, some random butler is cleaning a shelf in the corner of it. A mini bar is off the side, and a comfy looking lounge area takes up most of the space. The vampire is fidgeting with some toy while sitting in a plush armchair. Scar smiles and approaches him.
"Hello there!" Scar says cheerfully, walking closer to the well dressed vampire.
He jumps and quickly shoves the toy into his pocket, while Scar misses his reaction and sits down on the couch across from the vampire, a low glass table garnished with a candle separating them. The vampire glances at Scar as he sits, but looks away once Scar tries to make eye contact with him.
"What was that thing you had earlier?" Scar asks, leaning forward a bit.
Colour immediately appears on the vampire's cheeks from embarrassment, though it's subtle, because he's a vampire. "You saw it?" His accented voice squeaks, and he looks back up at Scar.
Scar pauses for a moment, he didn't expect the vampire to react like that. Scar replies, "Yeah, I did."
The vampire's posture breaks and he slumps a bit, and he looks down at his dark red shoes. "Gosh, that's.. embarrassing." he mumbles to himself.
