Scream || a BTS fanfic; book 1

it begins

"Come on, Hef." Star mumbles, checking his watch routinely every thirty seconds to make sure they weren't going to be late to school.

Star wasn't a nerd, not really anyway. He just prefered to stick to himself and his small circle. He just couldn't get another detention because his best friend was struggling to choose her shoes.

"What about the brown ones?" Hefina shows off her suade heeled boots.

"No, they do not go with that shirt." Star nitpicks.

"You're so right. Maybe these?" Hefina pulls out knee-length black boots to match her black dress.

"Black today? That's new." Star points out as the two depart from the Rowan girls' house.

"Period." Hefina says, no shame evident in her voice. Star nods in understanding.

"Mine really used to suck." Star says sympathetically.

"I have my vibrating heating pads." Hefina says, throwing her bag over her shoulder as she rushes to catch up to her tall 6' friend.

"What if Professor Lillian tries to take them again." Star says, slowing down as a car speaks past the quiet town road.

"Then I'll just get detention again, she's so angry and for what? She's a woman she should know what it's like." Hefina yaps.

"Are you going to this party tonight?" Star queries

"Uhhh, maybe? David's gonna be there, and he's-" Hef starts, patting down her neutral toned foundation on the way to the high-school.

"Not even worth a second breath. Never mind a thought." Star counters. Grabbing Hefinas arm to stop her from walking into the road.
"Whyd you stay up so late last night anyway?"

"Uhh, I was drinking water. My throat was really dry." Hefina flicks her hair out of her face to do her glasting balm.

"You? Drinking water? The apocalypse is here." Star counters "seriously though, please drink water more often."

"Don't do that." Hefina pouts "ever since my mother died, you've been trying to parent me."

"I'm legit younger than you." Star ruffles Hefinas hair.

Hefina shoots him a dirty look. "I'm short. We get it. But seriously, is there any point in me going to this party?"

"The gossip."

".... good point"

Loud music blasted throughout the large house, drunk teenagers dancing around. Some breaking things and others drunkenly making out and going even further in the open in front of their schoolmates. Of course, everyone was too drunk to really care about anyone else's business.

"Hef, maybe you should slow down drinking that stuff. It's pretty strong." Star worries.

"I don't want to feel pain anymore, how else can I get over this?"

"Rant, vent, just please don't ruin your liver over a stupid man. No, a boy, a stupid sadistic boy."

"Fine, but can we please go?" Hefina pleads

"Yeah, it's getting pretty late." Star grabs hefina as she almost trips over the steps outside the house.

The pair walk together down the long gravel country driveway.

The sound of Hefinas boots ring out throughout the dark night. Their breaths coming out in the light of the street lamps.

"I really should have brought a coat."

Hefina sighs as the emotions and alcohol all mix up within her. Storming down the gravel path,  just determined to get home.

"It's not fucking fair!"

"What'd you see? Why are you so upset?" Star rushes to console his friend.

"David, that stupid pathetic man!"

"What did he do?"

"What didn't he do? He's a lying cheating asshole and he's pathetic"

"Hef I'm gonna be so honest, you need to let go, you deserve better, and you know it.  So scream, cry, and let it go. Protect your peace."

So that's what Hefina did.

She ranted, getting every single thing off of her chest. Not realising she and Star has ended up drunkenly screaming about what an asshole her ex was.

Unbeknownst to them, there was two sets of eyes watching from within the trees.

The body underneath them screams for help, her mouth taped shut. The last noise she'd ever make as the next second would see her gurgling blood and finally, passing away.

Hearing the noises from nothing, the woodland, Star, and Heffy looked at each other and booked it back to their houses for the night.
