Mingi was perhaps known by everyone as the coldest and most terrifying demigod.
But he was a young man who knew his place. Instinctively he treated San very well because the son of Fortuna was his closest friend.
San had helped him get Yunho as his roommate—even though there was an element of bribery involved—which made it easier for him to approach and even spy on Yunho as he undressed in his room and took showers every day for over six months.
And eventually, he experienced his first penetration and confirmed his relationship status with Yunho, who also turned out to like him. It was an incredibly, incredibly, incredibly huge stroke of luck for Mingi, to the point where he didn’t know how to repay it to San. Maybe he would buy him more big, cute plushies later.
No, no. That kind of task had indirectly been handed over to Wooyoung. The son of Eros had worked hard to melt San’s heart, who had always rejected his love in the past because he didn’t like Wooyoung’s gossipy nature, which contrasted with San, who was always good at keeping others’ secrets.
Now that Wooyoung had succeeded in making San fall in love with him naturally—not with potions or arrows—he wouldn’t let San fall for Mingi just because of plushies.
Wooyoung might, as revenge, mix an aphrodisiac into Mingi’s drink, while lately Yunho’s sexual drive had been dropping drastically. His hormone levels only affected his appetite and his unstable emotions. Mingi would suffer from the unfulfilled desires due to Yunho’s current state.
Speaking of the beginning of San and Wooyoung’s relationship, let’s clarify it.
The son of Fortuna and the son of Eros were friends, fairly close. Until feelings grew between them. However, neither of them knew about the other’s feelings. Wooyoung only dared to confide in Yeosang about his feelings for San, and likewise, San only dared to tell Yunho and Mingi separately about his feelings for Wooyoung.
Neither of them was brave enough to confess because of their fear of rejection. Especially San, who felt unworthy to be with Wooyoung, who was a popular kid, while San was nobody.
By becoming fairly close friends with Wooyoung, San got to know Wooyoung’s personality. He liked spreading gossip and exposing the secrets of others across campus. At first, San didn’t mind it, blinded by love. But over time, he grew somewhat disgusted. So he changed his mind. He no longer thought he wanted a boyfriend like Wooyoung.
But it was at that point that Wooyoung finally started considering asking San out on a date. Because Yeosang was getting tired of his friend's behavior.
"You’re the son of the god of love and lust who can unite two hearts. How can you not succeed in your own love story? You don’t even have the guts to confess to San? What kind of son of Eros are you? You’re such a coward!"
That’s what Yeosang said.
Wooyoung didn’t want to be a coward or a loser. And Yeosang’s words had some truth to them.
So, he gathered his courage to confess his feelings. He didn’t care what answer San would give. The important thing was to confess, who knew, maybe San would agree to be his boyfriend? Even if rejected, at least Wooyoung had tried. And he wouldn’t keep his feelings bottled up, which could continue to nag at him if not expressed.
And, of course, San rejected him.
And of course, Wooyoung asked why. Then San shared his honest reason. Since that moment, Wooyoung had been willing to suppress his gossiping tendencies so they weren’t as bad as usual. For San. For his beloved. He tried his best.
In addition, he offered anything San wanted. San didn’t actually ask for anything, but Wooyoung insisted. San had told him he didn’t need to do that, but the son of Eros was persistent.
When Wooyoung was almost ready to give up, San was finally softened. Although Wooyoung’s gossiping nature couldn’t be entirely eradicated, San understood. It was part of his nature, and it was hard to shake off. He accepted Wooyoung as he was because he admired his relentless determination, which reminded him of Mingi’s efforts to win Yunho’s heart.
There was a brief moment of silence, until Mingi broke it with words.
"Please forgive Phaedon."
"There’s nothing to apologize for. Because, what can we do?"
Mingi felt relieved because San understood the circumstances.
"Just go with the flow. Just wait, tomorrow you’ll get your reward."
"Really? Tomorrow he’ll probably ask me to bring someone else’s boyfriend to touch him again?" Mingi scoffed skeptically, after observing what had happened during the past few nights.
"No, Song Mingi. Don’t say that. Trust my words." San would make sure that Hera had finished her task, and San could return the luck to Mingi.
"Ah, fine. Thank you." Mingi really appreciated his close friend’s effort to calm him down.
In his last sentence, he saw Wooyoung show up. Wooyoung had gotten San to be here because he couldn’t reach San’s phone, which had been left in his room. He immediately reported it to Lee Keonhee, the dorm leader of floors six to ten, about the missing friend who was staying in his room with Hongjoong.
Keonhee, the son of Helios—the sun god—used his long-distance vision power within a hundred mile radius to find San. It turned out he found him less than five miles away.
"Done? That was fast," Mingi said.
"Yeah. He’s already asleep. You can catch up to him soon. Let’s go, San."
"Don’t tell me you got too comfortable with the hug earlier. Watch out if you liked it! Let’s hurry back! In the room, you’ll have to pamper me to make up for everything!"
"Yeah, yeah, darling, that’s a given."
"You’re such a henpecked husband." Mingi scoffed.
"Not a henpecked husband. But a husband who understands his wife." Wooyoung corrected him.
"Whatever, you say what you want."
