At 5:00 AM, Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, and Wei Wuxian set out from their camp of tribal clan and heading northern direction.

Their goal is to reach a mirror shrine located high up on a mountain.

This mirror shrine is surrounded by beautiful pagodas, which give it an almost magical appearance.

The path to the shrine is challenging, requiring them to climb steep slopes and navigate rough terrain.

As they get closer to the shrine, they notice that the area around it is swarming with snakes.

These snakes are not ordinary because they are there to guard the pagodas that protect the shrine.

Despite the intimidating presence of the snakes, Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, and Wei Wuxian must show patience and respect to gain entry.

A huge black multiple headed snake comes near Wei Wuxian, sniffs him and goes away from there because it does not feel any threat from these three.

Wei Wuxian gets scared after seeing such a ferocious looking snake because this is the first time he has encountered a multiple headed terrible snake which is at least 100 meters long.

The ritual they must perform involves sitting on their knees in front of the shrine for three hours.
