"Fight?" Nate raised his eyebrows. "Aren't you supposed to teach me how to keep control of other people's powers? Well, for a long period of time."
"First of all, I have to look at you in action," Leroy explained, making a ponytail. "And anyway, what is a 'long period' for you?"
"About five minutes," the guy shrugged thoughtfully.
Nicholas and Antoinette looked at each other in amazement.
"Five minutes?" The redhead laughed in surprise.
"What about it?"
"Nat, my maximum is one minute. And this is the maximum among all living sorcerers with the power of copying."
"One minute?" Greenfire Jr. was not sure that the girl was not joking, and therefore looked for answers in the faces of his friends, who made it clear that everything was serious.
"Is there something wrong with you?" Toni continued with a chuckle.
"It's just... I can't imagine how you manage everything..."
"Oh, trust me, one minute in a fight is an insanely long time. Besides, when fighting one-on-one, touching your opponent is a simple matter."
"I guess you're right, but I still didn't expect this," the guy frankly admitted.
"So are you ready to continue?" Leroy said uncertainly.
"Yes, of course."
"Gorgeous!" The redhead clasped her hands together. "Nora will be on your side, and Nick will be on mine. They will stand still without stepping over these lines," the girl snapped her fingers, and sparkling lines formed on the floor in the places indicated by her. "You and I will fight in the middle of the hall."
"So our partners won't participate?" Nathaniel asked.
"They won't," the enchantress confirmed, after which she cast a meaningful glance at Blackwall, "and it's advisable not to even hold out your hands."
"I wouldn't," the brunette was offended, heading for her seat.
"Who knows," the redhead shrugged her shoulders, looking at her interlocutor with a hint.
"So these are all the rules?" Nate intervened again.
"No, there's one more thing. We use only basic abilities and copying. Personal extras are banned in this round, okay?"
"Whatever you say," the young man nodded, realizing that he basically does not possess other powers.
"Fine, then let's get started," she smiled broadly, and then turned her gaze to Mintwood. "Felix, would you do the honor?"
The wizard with the bangs stood up from his seat with a flattered look.
"Hey, why him?!" Redlock said resentfully.
"Because five seconds ago you were asleep – that's the first thing. And secondly, you annoy me," the redhead replied with a grimace.
Sherman rolled his eyes, barely suppressing a smile, and caught a jokingly passionate wink from Leroy.
"It is a great honor for me..."
Before Mintwood could finish speaking, Sophia and Felicia immediately burst into the hall, examining the guys in a panic.
"Are we too late?" the blonde asked.
"Toni!" The young sorceress screamed joyfully, rushing to the red-haired enchantress.
"Hello, doll!" She hugged the girl tightly, and there was a radiant expression on her face.
"No, you're not late," Felix continued with feigned resentment.
