"No I'm meeting Addy for a shoot and we are going out" I explain to Theo and Nick.

"Yesterday you said we can go out today" Theo said but he wasn't even looking cause he is playing a game with Nick.

"I forgot about the shoot so we can go out tomorrow" I sigh "what do you mean you guys are going out?" Nick asks "not as in going out going out but I haven't had a chance to hang out with my sunshine because I've been busy" Theo explains.

"Oh"

"Yeah anyway I'm going to get ready" I said leaving the living room and going to my room to get changed.

I cleaned my piercings and changed them plus I accessorised before leaving.

"Right I'm leaving" I hugged Theo and pecked Nick's lips before grabbing my keys and going to pick up Addy.

"Your shorts too short and I won't be there to protect you from any pervs" Nick frowned pausing the game.

"I'll be fine" and with that I leave.

I pull up outside Addy's apartment, the engine of my car humming softly as I wait. We've been best friends for years, and she's always been the strongest person I know, never letting anything slow her down. But lately, I've noticed how her COPD is starting to take a toll. It's in the small things—her breathing is a bit more labored, she pauses more often before speaking—but I know she's fighting it with everything she has.

I see her coming out of the house, looking as stunning as ever. Her makeup is perfect, her outfit on point, but I can see the fatigue in her eyes and how tightly she's gripping her inhaler. I quickly hop out of the car and rush over to take her bag without saying a word. She gives me a small, grateful smile, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes.

"Hey, superstar," I say, trying to keep things light. "Ready to own this shoot?"

She nods, and we both get into the car. The drive to the studio is filled with our usual banter, catching up on life—how she's been managing, how I'm juggling my own crazy schedule. Despite everything, she still has that spark, that infectious enthusiasm that always makes me feel like everything's going to be okay.
