Harry's POV

Harry woke up with a start, excitement bubbling inside him. Today was the day Sev’us had promised—a day to drink the aging potion and become a bit older. He could barely contain his enthusiasm as he jumped out of bed and raced to the kitchen.

The smell of pancakes and bacon greeted him as he entered the kitchen. Sev’us was already there, busy preparing breakfast. The sight of the delicious spread made Harry’s stomach rumble.

"Good morning, Harry," Sev’us greeted with a warm smile. "Today’s the big day."

Harry could hardly sit still as he devoured his pancakes and bacon. "I’m so excited! What if the potion doesn’t work? What if I feel strange?"

Sev’us chuckled softly, pouring a glass of orange juice. "It will work perfectly. Remember, the potion will age you gradually. You might feel a bit odd at first, but that’s expected."

With breakfast done, Sev’us led Harry to the lab. The room was filled with the aroma of herbs and the clutter of potion ingredients. Harry’s eyes wandered over the shelves lined with vials and jars.

Sev’us took out a small vial containing a shimmering blue potion. "This is the potion that will age you. It’s crucial to follow the instructions carefully."

Harry’s curiosity was piqued. "It looks so magical."

"It is," Sev’us agreed, carefully pouring a small amount into a cup. "Drink it all in one go, and then we’ll monitor how you adjust."

Harry took a deep breath and drank the potion. It had a strange taste, a mix of sweet and sour, but nothing too unpleasant. As soon as he swallowed, he felt a tingling sensation spreading through his body.

He closed his eyes, trying to focus on the sensation. It was as if tiny sparks were dancing across his skin, and he felt a gentle stretch, a growth that made him feel both excited and a bit dizzy. When he opened his eyes, he noticed that everything seemed slightly different. He was taller, his limbs feeling longer and more coordinated.

"How do you feel?" Sev’us asked, watching intently.

Harry tested his new height, reaching for a shelf that had been just out of his grasp before. "I think it’s working. I can reach things better now."

"Good," Sev’us said, his expression one of relief. "It’s important to take it easy today. Your body needs to adjust."

The rest of the day was spent adjusting to his new age. Harry explored the castle, finding new places he could now reach and interact with. Each discovery was thrilling. By the time dinner came around, Harry was exhausted but exhilarated. Sev’us made a simple meal of pasta and vegetables, and Harry enjoyed every bite.

As they ate, Harry excitedly talked about his discoveries. "I found that I can reach the top shelf in the library. I even found a book on magical creatures!"

Sev’us listened with a rare smile, clearly pleased with Harry’s enthusiasm. "That’s excellent. I’m glad you’re making the most of your new abilities."

When it was time for bed, Harry felt a mix of excitement and fatigue. He climbed into bed, feeling the soft sheets against his skin. Sev’us tucked him in and sat beside him for a moment.

"Good night, Harry," Sev’us said softly.

"Good night, Sev’us," Harry replied, his eyes already drooping with sleep. He drifted off, dreaming of new adventures and possibilities.

Sev’us's POV

Severus Snape watched Harry closely, a mix of anticipation and concern in his eyes. The decision to use the aging potion had been made carefully, and the process was delicate. It was crucial that Harry adjusted smoothly to his new age.

As Harry drank the potion, Severus observed the transformation. The boy’s growth was gradual but noticeable. The tingling sensation and slight increase in height were expected effects. Severus was pleased to see that Harry embraced the change with excitement.

Throughout the day, Severus stayed attentive, monitoring Harry’s adjustment. The boy’s enthusiasm was heartening. Harry’s new height and abilities gave him a fresh perspective, and it was clear that he was eager to explore his new capabilities.

The discovery of the hidden alcove in the library was a highlight. It was a testament to Harry’s growing curiosity and resourcefulness. Severus enjoyed exploring the alcove with Harry, sharing knowledge about the magical artifacts they found.

In the evening, as they discussed Harry’s discoveries, Severus felt a deep sense of satisfaction. The boy’s progress was a testament to the effectiveness of their approach. Despite the challenges, it was rewarding to see Harry so engaged and motivated.

As Harry settled into bed, Severus reflected on the journey. The transition was far from over, but each step forward was encouraging. Severus was committed to guiding Harry through this new phase of his life, ensuring that he continued to thrive.
