there was slight comfortable silence that filled the room along with inaudible mumbling that came from the girl's tv. love island usa was on the tv. and to say the show was interesting was definitely an understatement.
the sun was setting outside as golden daylight was starting to shine through the window and emit the room with a natural glow.
a brunette girl laid comfortably in her bed as she was drowned with blankets and pillows. she looked to her side to see a redhead right beside her. her best friend, who was scrolling aimlessly through her phone.
the two girls have been together all day. no one else was in the house. her sister was out with some friends. and her parents...
no one ever knew the answer to that question.
the brunette continued to focus on what was playing on the television that she didn't even notice the ping that came from her best friend's phone.
"do you have any plans this week" the redhead asks her best friend. her gaze still stuck on her phone. there was a moment of silence. the girl thought for a moment before replying, "no, why?"
"loren just asked if i wanted to go to a premiere for this new movie she's in, and she said i could take someone" she explains as she mentions another one of their close friends.
there was a moment of silence again. before the brunette answered, "i don't know. i'm not really feeling like it plus that's a lot of work" she let out a small sigh before she heard the redhead next to her let out a small groan.
"please go i don't wanna be alone" the redhead complained. "but you'll have loren" the girl says while shrugging.
"yeah but i know damn well that girl is gonna be a social butterfly and be everywhere the entire night" her best friend says while looking up at the ceiling.
just as the curly haired girl was gonna reply, a ping could be heard coming from her phone this time.

the girl showed her best friend the texts between her and the blonde girl. after reading them the redhead exclaimed, "i could've said that i would bring my digi??"
the brunette lets out a small chuckle before a small pillow hits her in the face.
