"Good morning, Dad," Seungkwan greeted in his sleepy voice as he entered the dining room, rubbing his eyes with his fists. He wrapped his arms around his father, who was cooking pancakes for breakfast.
"Good morning, muffin! Did you just wake up?" His father replied, ruffling Seungkwan's hair with his free hand.
"Hmm, I stayed up late studying with Chan, and Mom just kicked me out of bed," Seungkwan whined, burying his face deeper into his father's back.
"Where is your mother now?" his dad asked, chuckling at his son's words.
"She's still in the room." Seungkwan replied, but a moment later, his eyes widened as he unwound his arms from his father's waist with a gasp.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
The father and son duo jumped, both turning toward Seungkwan's room.
"What happened, honey?" His father shouted, concern creeping into his voice.
"SEUNGKWAN, WHY DO YOU HAVE A WHITE MOUSE IN YOUR DRAWER?" His mother screamed from inside the room, making his father look at him with wide eyes.
"MOM, THAT'S MY COCO! DON'T HURT HIM!" Seungkwan shouted back, hurriedly stuffing pancakes into his mouth before racing back to his room, just as another scream echoed from inside.
"MOM, DID YOU FIND MY SQUEAKY TOO?"
"AND WHY ON EARTH DO YOU HAVE WORMS IN BIG JARS?"

"Explain, Boo Seungkwan." His mother's voice was a mix of disbelief and exasperation as she glared at him.
Seungkwan blinked, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Uh, it's for my science project!" he pouted, continuing to eat his breakfast as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
His mother crossed her arms, her brow furrowing. "A science project? You could have warned me! I thought you were starting a petting zoo in here!"
Seungkwan swallowed a mouthful of pancake and chuckled. "Well, it's not a zoo—just a little experiment with some worms!" He gestured animatedly, his excitement bubbling over. "I promise they're safe!"
His father leaned against the dining table, amusement dancing in his eyes. "I don't know; it sounds like a fantastic idea! A mouse and worms—what more could a kid want?"
"Dad, the worms are for my project, but as for Coco and Squeaky, well..." Seungkwan paused, his grin widening.
"Seungkwan, don't you dare keep them as pets!" His mother huffed, disbelief etched on her face.
"Why not? They're adorable!" Seungkwan protested, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Coco is super friendly, and Squeaky just needs a little love!"
"Mom, please let me keep them—just those two. I promise I'll find homes for the others," Seungkwan whined, giving his parents his best pouty face.
"You have more?" His mother sighed, raising an eyebrow as she scrutinized him.
"Yeah, five more," Seungkwan grinned, noticing her eyes widen. "Mom, please let me keep them! I promise I'll take care of them."
His mother sighed, but the corners of her mouth twitched upward. "Fine, you can keep two, but make sure they don't escape. I don't want a mouse running around the house!"
"And as for the other five, they need to be out of the house once your project is done," she continued, looking at his father for confirmation, who nodded in agreement.
