A Killer's Dillema - Purinz

Chapter 1

with a yawn and a glance at her watch, chaewon saw that it was 2am. She had no idea why yunjin had asked her to meet at an abandoned warehouse so late at night, but she obediently put on a hoodie to ward off the cold as she made her way there. the area was dark and eerily quiet, making her feel uneasy as she hesitantly stepped into the warehouse.

the redhead walks up to her from the darkness of the warehouse, she smiles once she is close enough to chaewon. she was wearing her typical outfit, a black hoodie with a skull on it and black ripped jeans. she grabs chaewon's waist and pulls her close to herself.

"hi love, i missed you."

chaewon turns around to face yunjin with slight exhaustion in her eyes.

yunjin chuckles softly as she looks her up and down slowly. she rests her hands on chaewon's hips, keeping her close.

"you look tired, i'm assuming i woke you up?"

chaewon lets out a small scoff at her lover's words.

"it's almost 2am, jen"

yunjin rolls her eyes slightlt but can't help smiling, she knew chaewon was right.

"well i guess that was a stupid question then" she mumbles jokingly.

"i'm just glad you got here on time, i've been dying to see you" yunjin smiles before leaning in.

chaewon reciprocates the kiss as yunjin grabs her waist, pulling her closer to her.

with a smirk on her face, yunjin bites down on chaewon's bottom lip, receiving a small whimper from her.

chaewon pulls away abruptly as she hears something which causes yunjin's gaze to fall on her.

"what's wrong, baby? you look like you seen a ghost" she retorts.

she grabs chaewon's chin, forcing her to look at her.

"you aren't scared of me now, are you?"

"n-no, behind you-" chaewon pauses to take a gulp causing the redhead to raise an eyebrow.

her eyes widen as she hears the sound of sirens, her body tensing up automatically. she lets go of chaewon's chin and then looks behind her.

"oh you've got to be shitting me" she mumbles annoyedly before grabbing ahold of chaewon's wrist tightly and going through the backdoor of the warehouse.

yunjin pulls chaewon along through, her grip tight and her steps hurried and quick. she glances behind her occasionally, looking to see if the police are following.

"come on, we have to keep moving!"

she suddenly veers off the current path and instead leads chaewon deeper into a more narrow and dense part of the forest, where the trees grow closer together and the underbrush is thick and hard to move through.

chaewon suddenly speaks up, quietly whispering.

"isn't your car at the back?"

yunjin had completely forgotten about the car, but then she realises that the police will definitely have people stationed there.

"yeah, but that'll be the first place they check, they'll probably already have guys stationed at the car, just waiting for us to try and make a break for it"

yunjin turns to chaewon, her expression serious and concerned.

"listen, i need you to run away, get as far from here as you can. go back to my place and wait for me there, okay? i'll take care of the cops"

chaewon hesitates for a moment before speaking up.

"but what about you? i'm not just going to leave you here alone, jen"

yunjin's expression softens for a moment, her voice quieter as she speaks to her worried lover.

"i'll be fine, i know what i'm doing, you don't need to worry about me. just get yourself to a safe place, okay? promise me you'll do that"

chaewon looks up at yunjin with worried eyes.

"but what if something happens to you? i can't just sit by and do nothing" she protested.

yunjin gently cups the blonde's face in her hands, her touch gentle and caring.

"please trust me with this, chae"

chaewon hesitantly nodded.

"alright, i trust you"

she said, her voice tinged with worry. but she also knew that yunjin was incredibly stubborn and there was no changing her mind once she set it on something.

"just be careful, okay? i don't know what i would do if something happened to you" chaewon pleaded.

yunjin leans over to plant a kiss on chaewon's forehead.

"good. now go, quickly. i'll be right behind you soon"

her eyes followed chaewon as she ran away through the woods, sometimes glancing back at yunjin who gave her a small reassuring smile...
