Without the Kurama conglomerate's influence maintaining order, the city is getting plunged further and further into chaos. More and more areas erupted in black flames as Archimedel's attacks intensified.
Even the ominous Archiflora had been plastered across social media feeds, a looming threat hanging over all. With each new outbreak, panic spread faster through the populace.
[Ninja and Boost!] [Great] [Fantasy and Boost!]
[BUJINSWORD!]
Meanwhile, Koatycoon, Buffa, Tora-Go and Tycoon fought to defend one such threatened zone from a swarming horde of Jyamatos. Tycoon Bujinsword made short work of the monsters, but they kept coming.
"There's still so many people!" yelled Koatycoon over the din of battle.
Buffa notified the group. "Neon won't be joining us today. She's visiting her father in prison."
Tora-Go's expression darkened upon hearing that. As a Kurama by blood, she no doubt felt conflicting emotions about the family's staggering downfall. "Please be alright... Neon..."
As the group continued to fight, their sole goal being to evacuate as many people as possible, something began to catch their eye.
As Koatycoon unleashed a fiery slash destroying many Pawn Jyamatos, something began to catch his eyes, "What is up with that one over there?" He pointed.
[Full Charge!]
Buffa stepped nearby, slashing away at Jyamatos to make room to equipped the unlocked Command Cannon buckle after it's charged by the Raising Sword, but he also wanted to look.
"The one over there- Michinaga just equip the Buckle we can't talk over the standby music" Koatycoon said. Awkward silence fell as their conversation was lost to musical fanfare.
"...Uh umm."
[Take off complete! Jet and Cannon!]
[Ready? Fight]
"... Ehem, anyways." Koatycoon continued, "You see how that one over there, the one whose weapon has a flower??" He pointed. "It's going and ready to kill people but whenever it comes close to someone... it just taunts them till they escape, furthermore, whenever it sees its allies attacking somebody, it 'accidentally' falls over its allies."
The Pawn Jyamato kept just threatening citizens but never actually strike. It's 'antics' are actually helping citizens escape.
Tora-Go observed the rogue Jyamato thoughtfully. Its behavior defied the mindless ferocity of its brethren. There was a chance, however slim, it could be reasoned with where others could not. And any useful ally, however unlikely, was worth pursuing in these dark times.
As the desperate battle continued, Koatycoon's observant comment had seemingly caught someone else's attention as well.
The air grew cold, and a shadow fell over the fray. Looking up, the warriors saw the ominous form of Shadow Jyamato descending upon gigantic obsidian wings.
Archimedel fixed his blazing eyes upon the defiant Jyamato Koatycoon had pointed out. With a rumbling roar of displeasure, shadows swirled around him as he transformed.
"Oi!!!!!" he bellowed. Black mists poured from his jaws, raining corruption upon the warriors below. They cried out in pain from its poisonous touch.
Before any could react, Shadow Jyamato swooped down with lightning speed. In one clawed hand he seized the rogue Jyamato, the other swatting away its former allies.
"No! You can't act like this!" Without another word, he dissapeared along with it.
The warriors were left reeling from the abrupt ambush. It seemed even questioning Archimedel's tyranny came at great personal risk. But now, an opportunity for understanding had been fleetingly grasped - and violently torn away once more.
The prison walls loomed ominously before Neon. Steeling her nerves, she entered to find her father.
Outside, Irumi waited alone on a nearby bench. When she spotted Neon emerge later, the woman stood swiftly, her face a mess of overflowing emotion.
"Neon, please!" Irumi grasped Neon's hands desperately. "Come back to us. My love for you has always been real."
Neon met her eyes hesitantly, her feelings still conflicted. After so much deception from this family, trust would not be so easily rebuilt.
"I-I can't, not yet." Neon shook her head sadly. "All I came for was to see Father. I'm...I'm not ready to return."
Irumi's face crumpled, though she struggled not to break down completely. Her perfect world was shattered, and she only wanted to pull the pieces back together.
Irumi grasped Neon's hands desperately. "Neon, please come back. When you restored my memories, I was in shock. But I've had time to process it all."
Her eyes welled with tears. "Whether created by magic or born of flesh, you will always be my daughter. The love in my heart is real."
Neon's expression showed conflict. She didn't answer.
Irumi shook her head vigorously. "I never knew the full truth. Kousei kept that from me as well. All I knew was that I loved you as my own."
Her hands tightened around Neon's pleadingly. "Please believe that my maternal feelings were and are genuine. I only wanted to protect you!"
Neon softened slightly at her mother's distress. "Give me time. Please."
With a nod and a deep breath, Irumi released Neon's hands. It was clearly painful, but she respected Neon's need for space. And in her daughter's mercy also lay hope that one day, the wounds may fully heal.
DGP Rules: Jyamatos do already have intelligence. Some of them just are smarter than others.
