the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze, and the streets weren't packed with people for once. so why did jisung feel so uneasy?

ever since he stepped out of the large jype building, where 3racha's dorm sat, his stomach felt funny and his whole body was sweating. he assumed the sweat was from the hot weather, but now he feels that's not the case as he only now feels how much his fingertips seem to be trembling.

he's been stood in the spot minho told jisung they could meet for nearly five minutes now. of course, thats not ages, but for jisung, it is.

it was hot, he felt sick, his body was shaking with nerves so much that he felt his jelly-like legs would give way any second. oh yeah, did i mention that it was hot?

'he didn't ditch me, did he?' the same thought ran through jisung's mind none-stop like an athlete trying to win a gold medal. and honestly, if there was a competition for how fast thoughts ran through someone's mind right now, jisung would surely win.

before jisung could lift his phone to enable face-id and text the older male where he was, he heard someone yell his name from across the street, which startled him. it also dumbfounded him a bit; did minho not remember jisung was famous and that anyone would attract their attention to him by just the mention of his name?

jisung nervously stood still, biting in his plump bottom lip while he saw minho run across the road quickly in order to avoid cars.

when the dancer made it across the road, he had the biggest smile on his face as he looked into jisung's eyes, the younger doing the same only a bit more awkwardly. he had no idea what to say.

"you look even prettier in person," minho randomly blurted, the sudden comment causing jisung to blush a pretty pink.

he formed his lips into a straight line, wanting to say something in return to show his gratitude, but also not wanting to embarrass himself with his trembly voice.

"thank you..." jisung mustered up the courage to say (or more-so mumble). "c-could say the same about you."

minho smiled gratefully at this, a silent way of thanking the younger. he then reached his hand out for jisung to take, which he quickly did without another word.

"so...this cafe, will it be crowded?"

"nope! there's usually only a few college students too engrossed in their studies to notice anything, so we'll be okay."

minho was wrong. the cafe wasn't just filled with 'a few college students to engrossed in their studies to notice anything', there were a lot more people than that.

in fact, there was only about two free tables free for the two to sit at, and they just had to be bam-smack in the middle.

jisung instantly released his hand from minho's, going back to nibbling at his bottom lip as he crossed his arms and held his head low, not wanting to really be noticed by anyone. he was coming close to regretting this whole day-out thing.

minho, being the gentleman he is, quickly noticed the change of mood in jisung's actions and frowned. he knew that the boy didn't really like such enclosed spaces like this, but he had obviously never seen it in person 'til now.

"you'll be alright, okay?" minho reassured while placing a gentle hand on the smaller boy's shoulder. "if anyone comes up to us, i'll politely ask them to leave, alright?" jisung nodded at this.

without another word said, minho took the two in, which lead to jisung gripping onto minho's arm like his life depended on it.

jisung was honestly glad he had minho with him, because he could feel so many eyes on him right now. were they fans or just judgy people? jisung hopes judgy because he really couldn't deal with seeing the distraught look on fans faces if they were told to go away.

maybe my outfit looks weird? i did want to wear something else but i thought it'd be cute... oh my gosh! what if minho's embarrassed to be around me because i'm wearing something as ridiculous as this!

"jisung?" minho spoke up, causing the younger's thoughts to stop running. he was slightly out of it, not really paying attention, and minho noticed very easily.

when jisung was nervous, he picked up little habits. like biting on his lip, fiddling with things, or just frantically looking around to try and either avoid minho's gaze or distract himself with something.

jisung was a difficult boy to understand, but minho read him like a kids book.

"um, yeah? sorry, i-i wasn't really listening..." jisung shyly admitted, worried minho would get angry that he missed everything he had just told jisung.

minho noticed the nervousness and shaky tone, "no, no, it's okay! i know it's a bit crowded in here," minho reassured with a small chuckle. he was honestly worried himself. worried he had done something to upset jisung since he just seemed so...fragile.

"yeah..." jisung agreed, averting his eyes away from the elders since he couldn't bare seeing the disappointed look in his face.

what jisung didn't know that minho wasn't disappointed at jisung, but rather himself.

jisung saw someone eagerly smiling at him and untucking their chair to get up, so jisung's inhaled a harsh breath and then faced minho for the second time the whole date.

"do you mind if i pop to the bathroom for a moment?" jisung asked. why did he even ask something like that? it wasn't like minho was going to say no.

"yeah, of course-"

"-thank you," jisung quickly rushed out before quickly getting out of his seat and sped-walk to the bathroom.

minho had a look of confusion written all over his face, but when he turned to the side and saw a girl holding her phone in one hand and a mini hanquokka keychain in the other, he seemed to catch on pretty quick. he let out a sigh before staring at the half-eaten cheesecake on jisung's side of the table and contemplated going after the boy.

if he doesn't come back in at least five minutes, i'll go in and check on him, minho thought to himself.
