"K-kiyotaka!...Please...H-help me!" A girl cried out on her knees, looking up at me with pleading eyes.

Her eyes were red and tears could be seen streaming down her face as she held onto the bottom of my white gown. I watched as she continued begging for my help.

"Please...they're going to take me away, stop them...Please Kiyotaka!" She struggled to speak as she was interrupted by her ragged sniffles and weeps.

"...." I didn't respond to her cries for help and instead kept on watching her below me as she continued to try get my help. At one point we both looked each other in the eyes simultaneously. I could see the desperation for survival in her and yet I stared at her...my eyes a complete contrast to hers, devoid of any signs of life or emotion, just cold, empty.

I had seen many children fall and collapse in front of me, this time was no different. I didn't feel bad for her, nor did I have any intention of helping her, she tried to make friends in an environment where you have to fend only for yourself to ensure you can survive, if she couldn't adapt to the environment around her then the only one to blame was herself. To me, she was nothing more than an obstacle, a stepping stone inevitably to be stepped on and crushed. I knew that as long as I wasn't weak like her I wouldn't suffer the same fate, as long as I remained superior to everyone else I wouldn't have to suffer like them.

After some time I looked away from the pathetic girl who was on her knees below me and looked ahead, paying no attention as she called my name several times, eventually, she realized I wasn't going to help her and her loud, obnoxious cries yielded and only quiet sobs remained. She continued however to hold onto the bottom of my gown with her hand, tightly grasping it as if hoping there was a chance I might help her.

Her hopes were in vain as soon enough a group of instructors came walking through a door, quickly apporaching us. They grabbed the girl and started pulling her away, exiting through the same door they walked in from.

As she was being dragged along the floor she sent me one final glance, a last-ditch attempt for help, I could see her mouthing the word 'help' over and over before the doors finally closed.

And then as if nothing happened I stood back in line, forgetting about the event that had just transpired before me. My gaze wandered to the one-sided glass, despite not being able to see who was on the other side I had an intuitive feeling that man was there...watching me.

Waking up in my bed I felt a painful headache as I remembered the dream I just had.

Why did I start dreaming about that? It must have been because I went to bed later than usual, I must have stayed up too long watching the TV.'

Looking at the time I realized I had woken up later than I would have liked and if I didn't hurry then I would end up finding myself late.

I got out of bed and quickly began getting ready, taking a quick shower, brushing my teeth, and getting dressed into my uniform. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have enough time to make breakfast so I had to opt for a small chocolate bar I found instead.

I managed to catch up on time and now I was on track to arrive on time. after leaving my dorm I started walking to the elevator, once there I patiently waited for the doors to open and once they did I found I wouldn't be alone as Kushida was also in the elevator. Her luscious pale thighs on display due to her choice of wearing a short skirt. I'm surprised she doesn't feel uncomfortable wearing something so short as it surely attracts a lot of attention.

"Ayanokoji-kun, are you getting in?" Kushida's high-pitched voice broke me from my thoughts as I realized I hadn't entered the elevator.

"Oh yeah, sorry," I said as I got in the elevator, my reply earning a short giggle from Kushida as I stood next to her.
