Trigger Warning: scene of abduction and drugging.

Two days had passed since he had left abruptly in the middle of the night, leaving her alone in the house. The silence of the apartment was almost too much.

He had called her 2-3 times a day, each call a small reassurance that she was safe. She had grown accustomed to his voice, and the conversations had become a small comfort in her otherwise lonely days.

She busied herself with work and the mundane routines of daily life, trying to ignore loneliness. She would cook for herself, each meal a ritual to keep herself occupied and grounded

.But today, something was different. It was 8 in the evening, and He hadn’t called even once. The silence of the apartment seemed thicker, more oppressive, and the usual hum of activity outside had disappeared.

The entire area was eerily still, a quiet that felt unnatural and unsettling. Her eyes kept going back to the clock on the wall, each tick a reminder of the hours slipping by. She glanced at her phone, hoping for a call or a message, but there was nothing. She tried to distract herself by tidying up the apartment, but her mind kept drifting back to the haunting silence.

It was as if the world outside had vanished, leaving her alone in a vacuum of silence.

At 10 o’clock at night, she sat in her room, absorbed in a book. She hoped losing herself in the story would distract her from the loneliness and creeping anxiety. As she turned a page, she heard a faint noise from outside. It was like muffled voices or distant footsteps. The noise was so soft she wasn’t sure if it was real or her imagination. She shook it off, focusing on her book, but the noise persisted.

She told herself it was nothing, just her imagination. Glancing up from her book, she scanned the room. Everything seemed normal.

Exhausted and tired from the day, she eventually drifted into sleep, her book slipping from her hands. The apartment was lit with the soft glow of the bedside lamp.

Unbeknownst to her, the door to the apartment had been quietly unlocked. The one man she feared Devraj slipped inside the house without a noise. His presence was barely noticeable a chilling whisper against the stillness of the night.

He crept into the bedroom, his gaze cold nd calculating. He stood beside the bed, his eyes fixed on her sleeping form. Her breathing was steady, her face serene in the peacefulness of sleep, unaware of the threat that loomed so close.

He sat down softly on the edge of the bed, his movements silent. The air seemed to grow colder as he leaned closer, his eyes fixed on her with an unsettling intensity. as he observed her with a disturbing fascination.

The room remained undisturbed, the only sound the faint rustle of his clothing as he shifted slightly, his eyes never leaving her.

As he tapped his ring continuosly on bedside table making a slight sound. The noise was faint but continuous, gradually pulling her from her sleep.

Confused, she blinked her eyes open, her gaze settling on the figure sitting beside her bed- the dim light revealing his shadowy figure. She rubbed her eyes, At first, she thought it was a piece of her imagination—an unsettling illusion born from her dreams. But as her eyes focused, the reality of the man before her became undeniable.

Panic surged through her as she fully comprehended the danger. Her heart raced, and she tried to move, but fear paralyzed her momentarily. His cold, scary red eyes locked onto hers, a sinister smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. She struggled to sit up.

As she tried to get up and escape from him, her heart pounding with terror,  he moved quickly from his chair with a menacing speed. He grabbed her wrist in a brutal grip, slamming her roughly back onto the bed. His quickly loomed over her as he leaned in close.

His voice was a chilling whisper, sending shivers down her spine. "I came back for you," he said, his words laced with a sinister satisfaction. The fear she felt was paralyzing, her breaths coming in shallow gasps as the reality of her situation sank in.

A twisted smile spread across his face as he leaned in closer, his hot, alcohol-laced breath  over her. He pressed his nose to her neck, inhaling deeply before pulling back slightly to growl in her ear,  "How dare you get married? Did you think you could just forget about me?" His voice was a sinister whisper, each word laced with anger and possessiveness. His eyes locked onto hers with a mixture of rage and resentment that made her blood run cold.

Her mind raced as she desperately tried to think of a way to escape. "Let me go!" she cried, her voice trembling. She tried to pull away, but he only tightened his hold, his fingers digging into her waist as he held her closer.

"You're mine," he growled, his grip tightening around her waist. "How could you marry someone else, thinking you could just walk away from me? No one gets to take what’s mine, not even your bastard husband."

Before she could protest any further, he pressed a cloth soaked in a sedative against her face. The world around her blurred, her muffled cries turned into weak protests as darkness closed in around her. Within minutes, she fell limp, her body going slack Minutes later, he lifted her effortlessly into his arms and carried her away into his car, disappearing into the night, leaving no trace of her struggle.

Abhi POV

In the dimly lit office, he sits in a room filled with his colleagues, eyes locked onto the big screen before him. His face is a mask of intense concentration and barely contained anger.

On the screen before him, the chilling live feed from a hidden camera in his  apartment played out in real-time. He watched helplessly as Devraj Rathore moved through his apartment with sinister smile, Abhi gaze fixated on her sleeping form. Each moment of the abduction unfolded with excruciating clarity, leaving him powerless to intervene.

The room was thick with tension, his colleagues at the police station casting worried glances at him as they observed the feed. His hands grip the edges of the desk, knuckles white, as he watches her helplessly through the clear video.

His officer colleagues, known to the gravity of the situation, chatter around him, but he hears nothing. The blood pounding in his ear make him deaf.

Despite the swarm of thoughts and emotions battling inside him, he knew there was nothing he could do. The operation required him to remain undercover, a fact that now felt like a cruel twist of fate. The villain’s actions were methodical and precise, a disturbing reminder of how close he was to losing her.

Each second felt like an eternity as he watched the feed, his eyes never leaving the screen, willing himself to find a way to help.

His heart pounds with a mixture of dread and rage, knowing he must remain silent, powerless to intervene. The image of her being carried away by the one guy whole department wants is etched into his mind, a cruel reminder of the dangerous game he is forced to play.
