Alex's P.O.V

Cain and I decided to travel separately. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. One of the boys was blocking me, so I couldn't see what had happened. I contacted Mr. Clint before I reached the school. The guy was waiting for me at the gate. I was about to cross the street when a man bumped into me. I was too preoccupied to look at the man's face, but I got a whiff of his foul scent. "What the hell is Mitchell's enemy doing here?" I thought while apologizing to the man. It was best not to create a scene. The man didn't spare me a glance. He growled and walked away.

Mr. Clint ran to me and said, "I don't know how it happened, sir. Ethan asked me to go to the bathroom after lunch. I couldn't believe my eyes when he returned to the classroom all bloodied and bruised." I huffed and asked, "Who are you trying to protect, Mr. Clint? You are a serpent. You surely know who was involved." Mr. Clint looked at me in fear. I growled and uttered, "Take me to the boys. You can explain things to the President when he gets here." Mr. Clint led me to the waiting room. Ethan was lying on a sofa. Adriel was busy wiping the blood from his brother's face. Adriel jumped up when he sensed me. He hid the cloth behind his back and yelled, "Look what Malcolm did to Ethan, Papa!"

Ethan tried to get up. My body started to tremble when I saw his forehead. I grabbed Ethan when he reached his hand out to me. There was a big cut on Ethan's forehead and a bruise on his cheek. I glared at Mr. Clint and asked, "Why wasn't Ethan rushed to the hospital?" Mr. Clint gazed at the door behind him and replied, "The headmaster doesn't want to draw attention to the school. He told me to heal Ethan, but I couldn't. Someone is blocking me from putting a spell on him." Ethan was shaking. I kissed his head and uttered, "You can cry all you want, my little pup. I'm here now. I'll make it all better." Ethan instantly began wailing. I healed Ethan and tried to soothe him. Adriel rubbed his brother's back and said, "It's alright, Ethan. It will be over soon." The waiting room's door burst open, and Cain appeared.

He wasn't in a good mood. Cain growled and asked, "Why can I smell Ethan's blood from the hall?" Adriel wanted to run to his father but held himself back. I masked the room and uttered, "Go to your father." Cain scooped up Adriel and asked, "What happened, baby boy?" Adriel hugged his father tightly and replied, "Malcolm is a second grader like me. He has always been a bully. The teacher had reprimanded Malcolm in the morning. He was angry and went looking for trouble in the first-grader's toilets. Ethan was unfortunately there at the time. Malcolm saw Ethan as an easy target. He pushed Ethan's head against the sink and punched him in the face. I sensed Ethan was in trouble. I ran to his aid and reached him in time. I kicked Malcolm to the floor when I saw what he did. He is now stating that I broke his arm."

I was keeping a close eye on Mr. Clint. The guy couldn't believe what was going on. Ethan rubbed his face against my chest and uttered, "I'm sleepy, Papa." Cain put Adriel down and asked, "Did you put up a barrier so we couldn't see what was occurring here, Adriel?" Adriel rubbed his hands together and replied, "I did it for the teachers. I didn't want them to rescue Malcolm, but I made a mistake. I prevented you guys from watching us as well."

Cain stroked Adriel's head and said, "Good job looking after your brother. I will start training you in spellcasting soon." He then gazed at Mr. Clint and asked, "Where are the bully and his parents?" Mr. Clint clutched the hem of his shirt and replied, "Mr. Gerard sent them to the hospital. The school will cover all the expenses. He said Ethan didn't need treatment because no one cared about him."

I gazed at Cain and asked, "Are you going to take care of the headmaster, or should I?" Cain fixed his tie and uttered, "Look after the kids. I'll be right back." Cain kicked the door open and yelled, "I didn't know that bullies get VIP treatment at this school, Mr. Gerard!" I let Cain handle the situation. Adriel covered his ears when the headmaster started screaming. Mr. Clint gazed at the two clinging children and asked, "Are you guys the biological parents of these boys, sir?"

I smirked and replied, "That's none of your concern. You won't remember what happened here today anyway. We will be taking the boys with us. Get their things ready." Mr. Clint nodded and went to carry out my order. Cain walked out of the headmaster's office refreshed. He took Ethan out of my arms and said, "This is not the school for the boys. I will arrange something later."

My parents were surprised to see the boys. My mother cried when she heard what had happened. It was time for my appointment. Cain changed his appearance and accompanied me. Cain was over the moon with joy when my doctor said, "Congratulations. You are expecting a baby girl." He made me consult an obstetrician. It was already late when I returned to my office. I couldn't get the incident out of my head. I decided to check on the boys. Ethan had fallen asleep in my father's arms. My mother was busy teaching Adriel how to fold a heart. My mother smiled at me and uttered, "Welcome home, Alex."

I chuckled and stated, "I hope you guys can handle one more because I'm pregnant." My father gazed at my mother and uttered, "The more the merrier, son." I suddenly realized what an awful son I had been. I was about to apologize to my parents when I sensed my uncle. The guy was waiting for me on the patio. I sighed while getting up. My uncle scowled and asked, "What took you so long?" I huffed and uttered, "What do you want, uncle? I had a long day." My uncle smirked and replied, "You met him again today, right? It's like he is looking for his death." I gazed at the stars and stated, "I would like to take a break, uncle. I'm pregnant and don't want to risk my child's life."

My uncle grabbed my arm and yelled, "What are you talking about, Alex? We are so close to our goal. Don't mess things up." My uncle growled when Cain pushed him and said, "Don't pressure my mate. Why don't you tell me what you want? I'll do it for you." My uncle laughed menacingly and said, "You will help me? You are the cause of everything, you Mutt." I had heard enough. I couldn't let my uncle insult my mate. I gazed into my uncle's eyes and said, "I'll do as you ask of me, but if I discover that things went haywire because of you, then I will send you to hell myself." My uncle disappeared after I threatened him. The boys started a new school the next day. I was looking forward to meeting my enemy again. I couldn't wait to wrap things up.
