Days I Treasure

Part 2

Zelda's POV:

I step outside with Link's hand in my own, trying not to blush furiously. Hylia, my hand is warm. I smell it before I see it, it looks better than the royal cooks, and smells better too!

He sits down and lets go of my hand. Why is my hand freezing? I sit down next to him, careful not to sit on the food. He looks like he's holding something behind his back.

"Dig in!" He says enthusiastically. "How... so... GOOD!?" I say in between stuffing my face. He chuckles in response. I finish my food and turn to him, having a look of pure bliss and awe.

"Link, how is this better than the royal chef's with ingredients from outside of Hyrule?" I say slowly, trying not to cry from happiness.

"I'm truly honored, princess," he says very pleased. "Link, call me Zelda! We've been over this!" I say, almost furious.

"But I like it! It's a cute nickname!" He says while pouting, actually pouting. Losing his memories turned him into a four year old! I blush as I realize the end of what he said.

"F-fine then," I respond silently hating that stupid stutter. "Anyway, how can I repay you?" I ask. "A kiss," he says simply.

"Fine," I say leaning in and kissing him on the cheek. "Th-that was a joke!" He stammered with a huge blush. He looks so cute, no Zelda stop, stop doing this to yourself! He's your best friend not your lover!

I can't ruin this. "Zelda, are you ok?" He asks, worry in his eyes and voice. I nod. "Hmm, where should we go next? Impa's or Hyrule Castle?" He asks thoughtfully.

" Hyrule Castle, I want to salvage whatever I can," I responded. "Alright, but it's different. And there might be monsters." He responded.

"That's quite alright," I said quickly. "Oh, I have something for you!" He says, almost leaping with joy to hand me his gift. It's, fruitcake, he really remembered!

I tear up and hug him so hard, he almost fell. "Thank you, Link" I say, tears in my eyes. "Anytime time Zel"

Short chapter today! Sorry bout that😅 I'm planning on a new Age of Prosperity chapter! Thanks for support in both books, my writing really isn't that good, but thanks for sticking with me!

School is normal, we had an hour long assembly today, on very uncomfortable chairs. I'm still settling in, but updates should be more frequent hopefully.
