The Silent Prodigy of The Leaf

Final Battle

Raido-Sensei was severely worn out from the fight, but we were doing fine. As we headed to the drunkard's home, things were smooth. Once we arrived, Raido-Sensei rested in one of the guest rooms while Naruto went out to train. The reason is most likely because he felt powerless during the fight against Zabuza and the 2 Demon Brothers. Fu came up to me and asked me how I was doing and feeling. I told her I was doing fine and I asked her how she was doing fine. She said she was doing fine but from the looks of it, she was thinking of something. It didn't take long for her to say what was on her mind and she said, "I know you don't love me or you just don't know yet but you know it would help if I could get a clear answer on how you feel about me."

"In truth, I see you as a best friend Fu, and someone I need by my side always. Your presence and energy bring lots of joy into my life. Is nice being able to call you my best friend. Nothing more and nothing less," I said as I stared out the window.

She was a bit disappointed but I could tell she had accepted my answer and then she said, "You won't ever lose me as a friend okay, Lin? And you know there's one thing I have been keeping a secret from you. I don't have a name. The name Fu is a code name I was given by my village. I never knew my parents. I was never allowed to go to school or anywhere, for that matter. Most of my childhood I spent in captivity, and when I was starting to be able to function as a child with proper thoughts and such, I was trained as a weapon of mass destruction. I don't even know who I am and is alright. If you don't know what the future holds, we will face it together, okay, Lin?" 

I gave her a smile and a nod, then said, "You are right. We have to be willing to face the future no matter what it holds, and since you don't have a name. I suppose I could give you a name. What about a name I thought of called Minji? Is a name I always found beautiful."

She whispered into my ears and said, "That's a great name. It sounds nice. The name Minji is beautiful." 

As we both came to terms with one another, we kept gazing into the blue sky. Awaiting for the future and the challenges ahead. Together, we would face them as a team and as best friends. The day went by peacefully. Raido-Sensei woke up, and Naruto came back from training. When all of us were here, we started eating dinner with the drunkard's family. 

These past few days had been very strange. The confession of Fu is well now called Minji, the nature of this mission, my new team, and the strange thoughts I had been having been weighing a lot on my mind. The simultaneous occurrences of those events made me realize how fast my life had changed since the day I met Minji. Almost seems like a fated friendship that was made in heaven, but whatever it's, I truly am glad to be able to call her my best friend. She truly is amazing and unique. I don't know if she believes me or not, but that's the simple truth. If he doesn't believe me right now, hopefully she does... "Why do all of you here act like you are heroes? Heroes don't exist! They are nothing but myths! Myths are created to give us false hopes! There's only evil in this world! That evil is too strong, and the so-called heroes who stand up against it are just fools! There's nothing we can do! We will all just die!" shouted another loudmouth boy with black hair at the table. 

But when I looked at the kid, he was full of tears and rage. He suddenly stood up and kept on rambling on, though I couldn't understand a single word as all his words got covered up with his sadness. All I knew at that moment was that this boy was completely and utterly in hell. "This, that, them, and those! Who the fuck cares about all of it? Who the fuck cares if we all lose? Why shouldn't we try to fight huh? Are you fucking saying that we should just let evil win? Is that what you want you fucking brat? If that's what you want. I don't give a shit. I am going to fight till my last breath and not back down like a fucking coward, I will never abandon others that need a hero and I will never give up that's my ninja way!" shouted the airhead Naruto as his voice shook the entire house.
