A boy opened his eyes, however he did not find himself in his bedroom but rather in a court room. A woman with amber eyes and ashen hair wearing blue judges robes sat where the judge would be. Standing in front of the judges podium stood two figures similar to the judge but instead they wore guard uniforms.
"Welcome Trickster... to the velvet room," the judge said much to the confusion of the boy however before he could speak the woman continued. "The velvet room is a place that exists between dream and reality, that can only be accessed by a contract, however this isn't the real velvet room but rather my attempt a recreating it,"
'Why am I here?' the boy thought as he found himself unable to speak, and as if sensing his thoughts the woman answered.
"You are here because you have a desire to change the world, or at least some part of it. It does not matter if you are aware of this desire or not as I can see it within you," she said with a smile on her face before seemingly remembering something. "I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Lucille, these bailiffs are Selene and Diana," she explained.
"Hello," Selene said chipperly, "Greetings..." Diana said depressively. The boy was still confused, Lucille smiled. "I can understand you still have questions, and all will be answered in do time, but for now know this," she said before in front of them appeared a T.V
the visuals showed a recording of security camera footage, on the footage were non descript figures robbing a bank before being intercepted by non descript cops, "A battle between thieves and the law is about to begin, it will be a dance to decide the fate of humanity. I wish to have my own champion thrown into the fray, and should you choose to accept you will become that champion," Lucille explained.
"Rest now, Trickster your journey will begin soon," Selene said, "make sure not to overwork yourself," Diana said monotonal.
[====Morning====]
[==4/10 Sunday==]Opening his eyes Y/n looked around finding himself in his bedroom, he made his way downstairs to grab a bite to eat. He thought he was the only one up however in the kitchen was his older sister Sae sitting at the table working on her laptop, he put on a smile and made his way over the fridge.
"Morning Sae," Y/n said chipperly as he grabbed milk out the fridge, "have you had anything to eat?" he continued however he received no response. looking over his shoulder he noticed Sae completely invested in her work.
Grabbing his cereal he walked over and set them on the table, he then grabbed two bowls along with a spoon and also placed them on the table. He proceeded to press down on Sae's laptop much to her shock. "What the hell, Y/n?!" she shouted.
However Y/n placed a bowl of cereal in front of her with a spoon in it. "Eat," he said with a smile on his face, she contemplated between scolding her younger brother or just eating, she took the ladder and began eating. "Where is Makoto?" Sae asked in between bites.
"Probably still asleep, you know its only like six in the morning, right?" he asked as Sae checked the clock. "I didn't notice," she admitted.
"Did you sleep at all last night, Onee-chan?" Y/n asked but he already knew the answer. Sae blinked before yawning. "It would appear not," Y/n concluded.
"Perhaps I'll take a quick nap before work," Sae said getting up from the table, she placed the bowl of cereal in the sink before making her way upstairs to her bedroom. Walking past her was their sister Makoto who made her way downstairs into kitchen.
"Do you have work today?" Makoto asked Y/n as she made her way into the kitchen and helped herself to some of the cereal. "Yeah, its going to be so dead at the theater today," Y/n answered.
