Emily stepped out of her apartment, closing the door behind her with a satisfied click. The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm, golden glow over the city. Today's weather was a welcome change from yesterday's chill, and Emily relished the comforting warmth of the sunlight on her skin. She was dressed in a relaxed, yet stylish outfit: a snug white T-shirt with short, pale blue sleeves, adorned with white bunnies, and the playful phrase "Lonely Rabbit" written in a cute, wavy font. Her wide slacker-style pants featured light brown bears and big pale pink ribbons on each leg, cinched at the waist with a pink belt. She carried her fluffy white backpack designed like a bunny, its soft, long ears gently swaying with each step, and a round pom-pom tail adorning the back. She made her way to Takemichi's apartment, feeling a flutter of excitement for their coffee outing. Knocking on his door, she called out cheerfully, "Hey, neighbor! It's me!"

The door creaked open, revealing Takemichi, his hair a wild mess as if he had just rolled out of bed. "Uhm...hi...I mean...Good morning," he mumbled through a yawn. His eyes widened as he took in Emily's put-together appearance—her makeup flawlessly applied, her outfit perfectly coordinated, and her bag neatly in hand. Takemichi's eyes darted around in a panic. "Oh! Coffee!" he exclaimed. "I'll be ready in a minute. Wait!"

"No need to hurry," Emily said, trying to reassure him as he quickly closed the door

"No need to hurry," Emily said, trying to reassure him as he quickly closed the door. Five minutes later, Takemichi reappeared, his hair still tousled but now more presentable. He wore a simple red hoodie and white shorts. "Ready?" Emily asked, her voice upbeat.

"Ready! Let's go!" Takemichi responded with a grin. "I know a coffee shop nearby that I think you'll love!" As they descended the stairs, Takemichi added with excitement, "They do latte art on your coffee—really cute stuff like bunnies and cats. And they have all sorts of Japanese sweets."

Emily giggled, charmed by Takemichi's enthusiasm. He seemed like a genuinely thoughtful person. As they walked through the bustling streets, filled with families and couples enjoying the sunny weekend, Takemichi's dark circles underlined his recent sleepless night.

"Have you tried any traditional Japanese sweets before?" Takemichi asked, his curiosity evident.

"Of course," Emily replied, her eyes brightening. "This isn't my first time in Japan. My family and I lived here from when I was 5 to 15 because of my father's job as a diplomat."
