"Who is that guy who said hello earlier? Why are you smiling at him like that?"

Jealousy.
It's defined as a feeling of unhappiness or anger because someone has something or someone you don't.
Well let me give you an example of exactly how jealousy could affect everyday lives. For starters, you can be jealous of your sibling because their better than you in everything. This often causes a rift between siblings due to rivalry.
Speaking of rivalry, jealousy almost all of the time stems from rivals. Don't worry, the examples are almost over. Rivals can be siblings, students, or even your friends. Yep, friends.
For the last example, I'll give you something more interesting. You sat there at the lunch table with a weird feeling, otherly known as jealousy, watching your very own best friend, now rival, flirt with your crush. Ouch, right?
"So C/n, watcha' doin' later?" B/f/n asked him while twirling a piece of her hair.
"Uh, not much...why?" he answered and proceeded to eat his lunch.
"Oh I was just seeing if you wanted to hang out to study later? If not it's no big deal. I just know you're struggling a bit in chemistry and I can help you." She replied. You were fuming inside, but you knew better than to show it so you kept quiet.
"Oh, sure, I guess," he replied, focused on eating. B/f/n sent you a smile as though she were mocking you. This ticked you off even more.
I mean, what the heck right? She knew you had a huge crush on C/n. She was the one encouraging you to ask him out. She was your bestfriend, so why was she acting like this? It wasn't like her at all.
Lunch ended and you walked towards your locker to get your stuff. Thoughts wracked your head as you were overwhelmed with jealousy. It was such a weird feeling and you hated it. Unfortunately both C/n and B/f/n were in the rest of your classes for the day.
Honestly you were really close to calling your mom to pick you up at that point. You definitely did not want to be here. But you decided to suck it up and deal with it instead because what kind of a person would you be if you called your mommy to fix all of your problems?
On your way to chemistry you met up with your friend, G/f/n (Guy/friend/Name), and walked to class together.
"Can you believe her? I mean, you saw her at lunch," you explained to him, upset.
"Yeah that's kind of messed up..." he nodded.
You both sat next to each other seeing as B/f/n was already sitting next to C/n. G/f/n noticed this too and turned to you, "Wow, you really weren't lying."
"Yep," you said, popping the 'p'.
"Well let's make them jealous." he replied so nonchalantly.
"What?"
"Well if you're saying B/f/n is trying to make you jealous then let's make them jealous by having a better time than them. And I mean, come on, you know B/f/n is into me, not C/n,"
You snorted, "Yeah right,"
G/f/n gave you a serious look and you sighed, "Yeah maybe she might be...but it just doesn't make sense,"
"Does anything really? Take a look at R/n, how did they score an 100 and not us? Does that nake sense to you?" G/f/n joked.
"So what's the plan?" you looked up to G/f/n to see his smirk.
