July 15, 2022After that first week of us living together, we settled into a routine that flowed smoothly. Chance surprised me with a cute Lexus ES, but I rarely drove it as he insisted on chauffeuring me everywhere.
Today marked the boys' first game, pitting the Hard Knox's against the Iron Grips. The team names sounded more like criminal enterprises, but the game was set to take place at Shilo's Gym.
The turnout for the event was heartening, with everyone from The A'Rio Knox Home for Wayward Boys present.
The game was intense, with Lucas making a remarkable block and dribbling down the court. As he shot from half court, time seemed to slow down.
I saw Chance, fully immersed in coaching, jump to his feet. The ball hit the rim, circled around three times, and finally dropped in. Our cheers filled the gym, and I couldn't contain my excitement.
As the game came to a close, Lucas found himself in need of a ride home. Alisha and Malachi were still out celebrating their anniversary, leaving me and Chance to step in without hesitation.
"Hey, baby," I greeted him with a kiss on the cheek. "Hey!" he replied, glancing at his watch. "Where's Alisha? She should have been here to pick up Lucas," he said, frustration evident in his tone. Chance had a soft spot for the boys and despised the idea of them feeling neglected.
"I think we should talk to A'Rio about getting a bus so we can drop them off and escort them to out-of-state games," I suggested, hoping to ease the situation.
"Damn, baby, that's a brilliant idea," he said, flashing me a smile that hinted at a long night ahead.
"You can drop that look, love. Alisha asked if we could drop Lucas off; they're still celebrating their anniversary."
He wrapped his arm around me as we approached Lucas, still engrossed in perfecting his shots.
"Mr. James, you know I'm the next Kobe; I got all the game," Lucas boasted.
"What game? Boy, you could barely handle the ball. I thought you were going to trip over your own feet!" Chance teased, adding a playful touch to the moment.
Lucas shook his head, a grin forming on his face. "I would have never guessed."
"Guessed what?" Chance inquired.
"That you were such a hater," Lucas chuckled, the friendly exchange continuing.
"Oh, I got your hater," Chance taunted him, playfully chasing after him, the camaraderie between them evident.
Anticipation bubbled within me as I envisioned our future together, the thought of starting a family with him filling me with warmth and excitement. I want lots and lots of babies and the way he keep releasing his essence inside of me it feels like a dream on the verge of being a reality.
We made a pit stop at McDonald's to grab some meals for the twins before heading to their house. I knew there was tension between Chance and Tino, so I volunteered to escort Lucas inside. With Tino's sharp tongue, I couldn't help but worry he might end up writing a check his ass couldn't cash.
I knocked on the door, and Tino answered, shirtless. The moment his eyes met mine, a mischievous grin spread across his face. Inside, all I could think was, "Please, don't touch me!"
Passing Lucas the drinks, he already had a firm grip on the bag containing their meals. "You got it?" I inquired, flashing a warm smile his way.
"I am the man, Star, of course I got it," he said with a smirk.
