"Why are you doing this to me?" played the TV, I was watching a new K-drama I found to obsess over and was weeping my eyes out on a scene where the male character takes a bullet for his (ex)wife (QOT ref). Of course, I received a text immediately, ruining the entire mood. I looked at my phone screen, seeing the words "Adam🦉" on the top of the notification. You know, I add an emoji of an animal at the end of every contact I save depicting their personality. I find it super fun. I opened the text and replied.
Adam: "hey aria" Aria: "hey!" Adam: "are you outside? it's raining" Aria: "no, im watching a new kdrama" Adam: "please stop explaining the plot to me at school. i hate kdramas" Aria: "what do you mean? how could you hate kdramas" Adam: "just stop explaining the plot to me" Aria: "ugh fine! besides, why'd you text me" Adam: "just checking if you were out getting a cold" Aria: "dumba$$" Adam: "i know you hate cursing, so you meant that. ouch" Aria: "you deserve it! you always annoy me when i try to go out in the rain"
Of course, he leaves me on read. I was pretty used to him doing this, so I didn't take it to notice. I looked down at my phone. It was midnight. Why was he calling me this late? Weird. Anyway, I rewind my show cause Adam interrupted me. That's when the doorbell rang. I groan, why can I never watch my shows in peace? I lazily get up and walk up to the door. That's when I wonder, who could it be? My parents were on vacation for a few more weeks. I stood on my tippy toes to look at the peephole. I see a rough figure, immediately recognizing Adam's curly hair. I open the door, and see him standing there, his hair pretty wet. "What the hell Adam? It's midnight!" I say. How could he be so stupid? What if he catches a cold? This idiot started smiling. "Move." He retorts. I just realized how beautiful his smile was.. Wait. I'm supposed to be mad at him. "Adam! What if you catch a cold? It's raining." I move aside, letting him in.
