It had been a week since I arrived in Magnolia my parents were happy that I had returned to spend my senior year of high school here, my elder sister, Kana was quite excited to see me again after twelve years.
My twin brother, Sting seemed quite indifferent almost as if he didn't care but the problem was another, we had drifted apart from when we were kids which seemed right after twelve years, but now he barely spoke to me. Every time he spoke to me it was because I had asked him something and he would answer me rudely.
I knew Sting still cared about me and was still overprotective of me as his 'little sister' but he could show some affection without giving dirty looks to every boy who looked at me for too long not understanding that I was seventeen and I wanted a boyfriend.
Today was my first day at Magnolia elite a school for the rich and famous and my family was rich enough to afford to send me and Sting since Kana was now nineteen Years and she had graduated two years ago so now she was working.
I started my morning routine by getting out of bed and looking at myself in the mirror. I went to the bathroom, peed, brushed my teeth and took a shower. After taking a shower I dried myself off, left the bathroom, put on some body lotion and got dressed.
I put my backpack on my shoulder and walked out of my room. I saw Sting and Kana talking and then they stopped. "Good morning" I said with a smile. Kana smiled back and Sting looked at me in silence before walking away. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked Kana as I walked over to her and watched Sting walk away."Don't worry it's not you the problem, is just that he still can't believe you're back" Kana said with a smile. One of those warm smiles that she gave me even when I was little. I remember that when I was little I wanted to be just like Kana with many aspirations.
I also remember that she always said that after finishing high school she wanted to get married, go to college and then have children, however, it seemed clear to me that things did not go as planned. I honestly didn't know what went wrong and made her change her ambitions but she was still doing okay. She had a job as a bartender at a Club.
"If you say so" I said. "Come on, let's go, the others will be waiting for us at the table" she said, walking down the stairs and leaving me behind. "Wait for me" I said when she was almost finished coming down the stairs.
When we got to the dining room we greeted our parents and started eating. My parents were talking About what to do for dinner my father wanted to go out to eat but my mother wanted to stay in. "We'll eat at home period" my mother, Layla, said to end the conversation.
"Okay, okay, you win we will eat at home but then on Sunday we will eat at a restaurant" my father, Gildarts, finished. My father looked at me and Sting with a smile. "Lucy will drive you to school today Sting-" As soon as my father finished speaking there is Sting interrupting him.
"What no," he protested. "I have to pick up Minerva today after school" Sting said. 'Who is Minerva?' I asked myself, I had never heard of her. Of course Sting didn't talk to me about his friends or what he did in his free time, but it was strange to hear him mention one of his friends.
"I don't care I have something to do" Dad said sternly, he was often stern with Sting because since we were kids he said that one day Sting would be the head of the Heartfilia empire. I never understood what it meant but every time I'd ask he would say that it wasn't important and that I didn't need to know.
"Whatever" Sting replied, he stood up and looked at me. "I'll be in the car, hurry up, I don't have all day" he told me coldly, he was clearly angry with me. As if I even wanted to go to his stupid school. After all that I finished eating in a hurry. I kissed my parents and Kana's cheek. "See you at dinner, I love you" I said running out.
I walked out of the house and saw a beautiful car parked in front of the door. Sting was sitting in the driver's seat and was using his phone. He looked up from his phone to look at me and said "if you don't hurry I'll leave you here. I ran to get into the car and sit in the passenger seat.
We were now halfway there and I was getting bored. Sting and I hadn't exchanged a word since I got into the car. "Is this your car or is it one of Dad's many cars?" I asked him wanting to make a little conversation. "Why the fuck do you care?" he said rudely as usual.
He's behaviour towards me bothered me, I wanted to get out of this car but I also wanted to recover the good relationship I had with my brother. "Language" I warned. "And does it cost you so much to have a little conversation with your sister?" "Yes it costs me, so now shut up".
"No, I want to talk with you and have a conversation" I said looking at him but he didn't take his eyes off the road which wasn't a bad thing because that way we would avoid crashing or something. After his silence I reminded him that he hadn't answered my question.
Hope you liked it.
Bye bye👋👋👋
