Today, after work, Cassiel and his 5 best friends would meet up after a long time haven't seen each other, it's on a small cafe bar at the center of the town.
"It's been a year huh..." Cassiel Murmured.
'We haven't really see each other since we graduate, well everyone is busy pursuing their own dream and work' , Cassiel thought while working at the office.
"Hey, focus on your work" , the manager says.
"Yes sir, I'm totally focused don't worry", Cassiel replied.
.....
'ughh.. at last it's time to go home', Cassiel stretched his body before standing up.
'What a hectic day... wait.. everyday is hectic though...'
"cassiel going home already? it's rare to see you going home pretty early" , Adrienne says, one of his coleague.
"ah yea, I've got to meet old friends, so gotta go now." cassiel casually replied.
"alright, have fun, see you tomorrow", she replied.
"alright, see ya"
The meet up was at the center of the city, it is a bustling area where people from across the prefectures passed through, and as you can expect it's full of tall buildings, beautifully decorated sidewalks, and it's very lively here. The meeting place was somewhere around the block, in a small cafe named 'Calicious Cafe'.
"So this is the place" , Cassiel murmured.
"This cafe looks very standard, but let's not judge the book by it's cover, Jeremy says their food and drink is heavenly", Cassiel says casually while looking at the cafe front.
"Yo, cassiel long time no see"
Cassiel heard his name called and looked behind, he sees one of his old friend, Jeremy.
"haha hello brother, long time no see, what's up bro? have you been well?" he formally says.
"what's up with you, being so formal, cut the crap, let's get inside, I know what you are thinking, hahaha it looks very very ordinary but it's food is good you know, you should try, let's get in!!" Jeremy says while pushing cassiel inside.
"alright, alright", Cassiel says.
Ding dong!!
"Ooohhh, they are all already here" jeremy murmured.
"yea, haha been quite some time since last we all met"
"yea been quite sometime, it seems you are doing well dumbhead, oh hello-", Christian says.
"Cassiel!!! How are youuu?!?! I haven't see you for a while!!! have you got any girlfriend?" , Cynthia says.
"hey don't cut others while talking, where's your manner?" Christian says.
"Nice one Cynthia" , Jeremy gives a thumbs up.
"They are as lively as ever", Audrey says while taking a sip.
"yea, their energy is bottomless, I'm tired after work..." , Albert chipped in.
"Uhh.. hello everyone, you guys are all as lively as ever" , Cassiel says.
After some short greetings, they all sit at the table and talk while taking orders.
"whoa, look at the menu, all the food looks awesome!", Cynthia says while flipping the menu book.
"Yea, hmm.. I'd like some Jiggly Cheese cake, a chocolate parfait, and red velvet frappe", Audrey ordered.
"I'd like to have some fruit parfait with vanilla icecream topping, A glass of Deep Sea Mocktail, and Sirloin steak with blackpepper sauce", Jeremy ordered.
"I'd like some sweet ice tea, spaghetti bolognaise, and caramel pudding." Albert ordered.
"Let's see, I want special calicious parfait, Pink Summer mocktail, Tenderloin with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes, plus... 1 cheese cake, and one red velvet cake," Cynthia ordered.
"where are you even storing all those food in your tiny body cynthia..." ,Cassiel blurted.
"Well if I can't finish it all, we have Jeremy to take it all in, hehe" Cynthia replied while smiling.
"You can count on me!", Jeremy replied.
"You guys never change, I'd like a glass of cafe latte and a spicy fish and chips, christian ordered.
"well, I'd take a special calicious burger with additional fries and a glass of red sunset mocktail, Cassiel ordered.
"alright, we got your orders, please wait and enjoy while we prepare." , the waitress says and then walked away.
"Hey Cassiel, so you haven't even given me an answer, have you got girlfriend? , Cynthia asked.
Cassiel sighed, and says "I'm barely getting by with all the hecticness in the office, how can I have time to find-?"
"Nah, he's just doesn't sell, stop with the petty excuses", Jeremy says while laughing loud.
Cassiel hit him lightly before saying, " even with my average looks, I still have one or two who liked me"
"hahaha, single is single cass" ,audrey says.
"You all talk like you guys have got partners", Cassiel replied.
They all then looked at him with playful eyes, and in them, you can feel pity...
"guys, don't say you all have got partners? EVEN JEREMY AND CHRISTIAN?" Cassiel shocked.
With an arrogant look, Jeremy says to cassiel, "don't lump me with you, eternal single"
"for the first time in history, I agree with jeremy" christian added.
"sh*t, audrey, cynthia, albert, you guys too?"
"hehe, kinda, I met her at my office, and we have been dating for about 6 months" , Albert says.
"I have not yet been in relationship, but I expect in a month or two probably we will start a relationship..." , Audrey replied.
"hmm.. I am still single, but I have hmm... one.. two.. three.. four.. five, yup around five people keep pursuing me" , Cynthia says while counting with her fingers.
'ugh... I have never been felt so left out before...' Cassiel said in his heart.
They keep talking and laughing for a while and tell each other their stories, and only stop once the foods are ready to be served.
"whoa, it looks like just out of fantasy anime" , Cynthia says.
"haha, thank you, we are proud with our great food, please enjoy" , the waitress says before leaving.
On the table, It's simply looks like a paradise of food, with a lot of variety of color and aroma, the parfait simply gorgeous and sweetly inviting, every single blend of the cream, fruit, and sweetness combined into one. The Mocktails are very beautiful, akin a sparkling drinks that would wash away your fatigue, and the food, it's cooked to perfection, and if visual representations can have a taste, then it would scream "delicious".
Everyone suddenly goes rather a little quiet, enjoying their own meal, and each bite is as just how Jeremy says, maybe even better, delicious. After eating to their full, they talk for a while before going back home.
"haaahhh... that was a feast, well thank you guys, I'll surely come here more often to try all other menus when I have time... ", cynthia says.
"Well sure it was a blast hahaha, but a little pricey though, but definitely worth it" , Jeremy replied.
"alright guys, see you again next time" , Christian replied while walking away waving hands.
"guys, I'm also off, i'm very tired, thanks for the great night" , Albert says.
"alright me and cynthia is on the same way, so bye bye" , Audrey says.
"bye byee guys, see you again soon" , Cynthia says.
"Bye guys, thank you for the night, it's a blast" , Cassiel says before heading home.
'everyone seems doing fine, I can't wait till our next meet up again, don't know when though' , cassiel thought.
