A van would pick us up heading to Mount Pinatubo's meet-up place for all the hikers. Bago kami pumunta ro'n ay kailangan muna naming dumaan sa condo para kunin ang ilang gamit na dadalhin namin.
"Why do we need to be there so early?" takang tanong pa ni Derek sa akin.
I shrugged off. "I think because of how long the hike is. Saka mainit na kung aabutin pa ng tanghali. I've heard na meron pa nga raw na overnight camping, but I opted to do the morning trail dahil for beginners like us, it would be better."
"Ah, I see. . . That's fair," he said, nodding his head. "I can honestly tell you that I've never done hiking in my whole life."
"I know that's why I chose this gift for you!" I chuckled. "Very sporty ka rin naman and I know you wouldn't back this one off. I know you love some extreme sports, especially those that give you some thrills! Nakaka-excite tuloy!"
He grinned. "I can tell that, baby! I'm happy you are doing this for us. I never really had an idea."
"It's hard to keep a secret on you, alam mo 'yan," aniko sabay buntonghininga. "Kaya nga sinama ko na si Danny sa plano ko na 'to. Sa kanya ko talaga pinatago 'yong regalo ko dahil once na dalhin ko sa condo, you would ask kung para saan iyon. E, 'di nabuking mo naman kaagad ang surprise ko?"
He laughed. "Yes, that would pretty much be the case. I'm glad you think it that way."
"I've only seen it online. Napaisip din naman kaagad ako kung magugustuhan mo ba 'yon?"
"Of course, I love it! I think aside from the cars my parents gifted to me, this was one of the most exciting for me," he admitted. "And whatever you will give to me, I don't care if it's small or big, as long as it comes from you, I would take it with all of my heart."
"Aww, baby! Thank you so much. I really appreciate you. . . I'm so happy that you're my boyfriend. . ."

I put my arms around him and he leaned his face closer to me where our nose finally touched. I could feel his breath and it was warm, I guess it was because of the alcohol he had drank earlier.
