CHAPTER TWELVE

"Goodbye, Ithiel!"

I waved my other hand as the other one covered my mouth nung 'di ko na mapigilan humikab.

I closed my eyes and shake my head slightly, inaantok na ako talaga, buti na lang pwede na ako umuwi ng around 10 pm kaya ginrab ko na.

Last set na lang din naman for tonight tapos pack up na, since tapos na rin naman lahat ng nakatoka sa akin and I was able to finish organizing the whole schedule for next week ay nagpaalam na 'ko na mauunang umuwi ngayong abi.

I put my hands inside the pocket of my hoodie and tried to wake up myself para lang maka-uwi na ako, I felt my phone vibrate as I walked away from Studio Base, took it out of my pocket and saw what it was and Jathen's name flashed on my screen.

Jathen

I'm on your left.

Agad akong lumingon and saw a car parked on the side and someone was leaning on it, he waved his phone and I needed to walk closer to see his face.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I whispered as I stood in front of him.

I looked around to see if someone could recognize him pero mukha namang safe.

"I was waiting for you." he sniffed after answering me with a quiet voice.

"Gusto mo ng hot chocolate?" he stared at me for a second before slowly shaking his head.

"Let me take you home," hindi ako agad nagsalita pero dahan dahan akong tumango.

He offered his car and he walked in on the passenger and opened the door, pumasok agad ako and removed the hood over my head and wiped my eyes.

'Di naman nag tagal pumasok na rin siya and started the engine and started driving away, I just told him the instruction pauwi sa apartment ko.

"Akala ko ba may dinner kayo?" he nodded as he focused on the road.

"Umalis lang agad ako kasi naglalasing na namin si Madrous, your best friend was there too by the way." tumaas ang kilay ko.

"Hazael?" he nodded na nagpatawa ng mahina sa akin.

"Social butterfly din 'yon kagaya ni Madrous, malamang pinasama lang 'yun kasi kanina pa sila magkasama." when I glanced over at him he looks like he was just listening to me.

Nawala tuloy antok ko.

"Paano mo nalaman na uuwi na ako?" he shrugged and glanced over at me for a second before smiling.

"I own the place so I kinda know?"

"That doesn't make any sense, you're telling me, lahat ng staff na nasa Studio ngayon alam mo oras ng uwian?"

"Just you for tonight," natawa na ako at napa-iling.

"Kakaiba ka talaga,"

"In a bad way or good?"

"Of course, good." We fell in silence but not awkwardly, just calm and peaceful.

Agad rin kaming nakarating sa apartment kaya nung magpark siya sa tapat ay inalis ko na rin seatbelt ko.

"Do you want some water or anything?" he took a glance over my apartment and he looked at me.

"I don't wanna invade your boundary." I was taken aback by what he said and didn't say anything and just stared at him.

"I guess I just really want to drive you home, I was on my own home na rin, I was done having dinner and drinking with the boys, mukhang pagod ka rin ngayong araw, take a rest, Ithiel." dahan dahan akong tumango and smiled at him.
