Teacher Alan arrived at the new school in early September. He was young, only 28 years old, but already had considerable experience teaching literature to senior classes. As soon as he stepped into the school hallways, he noticed a sweet peach scent that immediately caught his attention. The scent was so strong and intense that Alan even stopped in his tracks, trying to determine where it was coming from. However, the school corridors were empty—classes had just started, and no one was around.
Despite this, Alan soon began his classes, trying to forget this strange feeling. Nevertheless, that peach scent kept returning now and then, each time feeling stronger and persistently reminding him of something he couldn’t yet understand.
Meanwhile, a student named Tomas, 16 years old, was living an ordinary teenage life. He had never encountered any particular scents or strange sensations, but one day, everything changed. During one of the breaks, standing at the back of the classroom while waiting for his friends, he suddenly noticed a strong, dizzying smell of oranges. The scent was so intense that it made his head spin. Tomas tried to shake off this feeling, thinking it was just fatigue, but the scent lingered, as if stuck in his consciousness.
The next day, the school organized an unexpected evacuation drill. Students and teachers had to crowd into the courtyard, waiting for further instructions. During this chaos, when Tomas and Alan were standing nearby, their scents became even stronger. At that moment, Alan realized everything—he had encountered his omega, although he didn’t yet know who it was. Tomas, standing close to Alan, felt even dizzier, yet couldn’t understand what was happening.
At the end of the evacuation, Alan decided to take action. He invited Tomas to his office after classes. Tomas, somewhat confused, agreed, thinking it was just a regular conversation with a teacher. However, Alan needed to explain to him what he himself had realized—that they both were special, and that what they were feeling was not a coincidence.
In the office, Alan sat across from Tomas and tried to start the conversation gently. "Tomas, have you ever felt different from others?" he began. Tomas remained silent, as he had never really thought about it. Alan continued, "It’s possible that what you’re feeling now is because of who you are. You have certain traits that may affect your life."
But Tomas didn’t want to accept it. It was hard for him to believe that everything he experienced could be something more than just a scent. He stood up and wanted to leave, but Alan knew he couldn’t let him just disappear like that.
As Tomas walked through the corridors, leaving the school, he was suddenly attacked by several students. They sensed his scent and attacked out of curiosity or aggression. However, Alan, who was still in the school, noticed the sharp, sour peach scent and knew something was wrong. Following the scent, he quickly found Tomas and rushed to help him. Alan easily pulled the attackers away and led Tomas out of the school.
Soon after, the school organized a class trip. It was an outing into nature, where students had the opportunity to relax and spend time together. Tomas tried to keep his distance from Alan, although he felt a strong connection. However, one night, when everyone had settled into the campsite, Tomas felt his body changing. It was the first time he experienced this special condition, and he felt helpless.
Alan, who could sense Tomas’ condition even from afar, immediately understood what was happening. He cautiously approached Tomas and explained that it was natural, that it was part of their nature. Tomas, though scared, began to understand that Alan wasn’t an enemy, but someone who could help him survive this difficult time.
This trip became a turning point in their relationship. Tomas realized that he wasn’t alone and that Alan was not just a teacher but someone who cared about him. And Alan, feeling a strong connection to Tomas, knew that they both would have to learn to accept who they were and how it would affect their future.
