A basic thursday morning.
Slices of diverse lights, and an aroma of the fresh air.
Mixed with a wooden smell, and a morning one.

Ryan slowly pushes open the heavy door to his father's office.
The room is dim, with only a few rays of sunlight breaking through the blinds.
His father, Principal Vermont, sits behind his grand desk, barely looking up from his papers.

"What's the matter,"
his father says, his voice steady and calm.

Ryan hesitates, then takes a seat,
feeling uneasy.
«father.. »
He says calmly.
Before he can continue, nor to even open his mouth to announce his speech, the door flies open and Celine storms in, her face flushed with anger.

"Mr vermont!"
She suddenly starts.

He raises his eyebrow as he stares at her blankly.
Or to say coldly.
She looks at ryan and then at him as she exclaims stressfully.
"This need to be negotiated."

Principal Vermont leans back in his chair, lighting a cigarette.
He exhales slowly, smoke curling up into the air.
"All ears..Mrs Hilton."
He replies.

"The library scenario is getting repetitive and it's making me uncomfortable."
She breathes heavily as she says.
"And..?"
Principal Vermont replies, almost dismissively.
Staring at her eyes blankly.
Not an ounce of emotion.

Ryan's eyes dart between Celine and his father,
confusion and alarm bubbling inside him.

"This may harm our reputation."
Ryan's voice trails off, panic rising.

Celine steps closer to Ryan, desperation in her eyes.

"Yes definitely, our lives depend on it."
Celine's voice shakes as she pleads.

But he, Principal Vermont just sits there, silent, taking another drag from his cigarette.
The tension in the room is unbearable.
Finally, his son can't take it anymore. He stands up abruptly.

"I need some air,"
Ryan mutters, before storming out of the office.

His father chuckles lowly at him.
Carelessly.

As he walks down the school's hallways, his mind races.
Why didn't his father care?
How could he be so indifferent?
Suddenly,
Ryan spots a girl at the distance, walking with a young boy who looks eerily similar to himself strong,
confident.
A girl with wavy brown hair laughs beside her.
The sight stops Ryan in his tracks.

"Sierra! Oh my God!"
One of the two girls voice rings out as she rushes over, her face lighting up with excitement.
laughing along with her friends.

Ryan watches as the three exchanged joyful hugs, completely absorbed in each other.
As the group passes by, He yells out sarcastically.

"You don't have a girlfriend don't you."

Ryan and Sierra's eyes meet,
and a feeling of recognition passes between them.

"Hey, you got something to say? Or are you just gonna keep staring?"
He said as he stood infront of him, looking directly in his eyes.
Trying to do anything just so he can forget about what happened earlier.
This is him.
He was still taking some few glances at sierra.
