"Alex, this is ridiculous!" I exclaim before I take a sip of my coffee.

"How could they give the role to him? He's never acted a day in his life before!" I continue.

"Actually he was a guest performer and host on SNL back during his second album promo." Alex corrects me.

I give her a 'really look' and add "That doesn't count and you know that."

"Babe, if Thomas liked him then he must be good. So what if he's never acted before? Everyones gotta start somewhere." she reasons.

"I'm telling you he only got this role because the producers needed someone with a squeaky clean image the exact opposite of me right now. He has no talent." I cross my arms over my chest.

"And that poor second guy. He didn't even get a final audition. One performance from Harry and everyone was kissing the ground he walked on." I state with an eye roll.

"Wellllll I'm sure there have been many who have had the exact same conversation about you." Alex says.

God, why does she always have to be so reasonable?

"Thomas and Jennifer already told you to suck it up. You need this role and this opportunity to get your name back out there in a positive light. Don't fuck it up over some boy." she tells me.

I let out a scream in anguish.

"Okay primadonna." she chuckles lightly.

"But speaking of boys...let's talk about this one extremely stupid boy." she smirks.

I raise my brow as she opens her mouth to inform me of what she means, "Louis. When are you officially going to break up with his ass?"

My mouth opens and closes several times before I muster up something to say.

"I'm not breaking up with him." I state firmly.

She lets out a laugh but stops as she sees I'm being serious.

"I thought once you came to last week you decided he wasn't worth it anymore." Alex questions.

"That was my anger talking. If I break up with him I'm letting the media win." I start.

"Look, did he screw up massively by not answering my calls and texts? Yes. But, he had a lot going on and he was really trying to get the articles taken down. You know how he can get. Good intentions just, not always the best execution. I figure we lay low over the next couple of weeks and hopefully by then the public will have forgotten everything." I conclude.

Alex just stares at me for a solid minute.

"Great, so his stupidity has spread to you." she finally voices after a piercing awkward silence.

"Hey!" I shout.

"I don't understand this weird attachment you have to him. I swear all of your entire brain leaves your body whenever he's in the mix." she says.

I don't have an attachment to him.

It's just he was there for me during a difficult time and I'm lucky enough to see a side of him that she doesn't when it's just the two of us.

If she was in my shoes she'd get it.

"Choosing to ignore that. Now are you gonna help me pick out an outfit for this filming kick off party?" I question.

"Well, duh." she smiles as she gets up from her bar stool.

Thomas is throwing a filming kick off party for the cast and crew at some club near downtown LA.
