Unravel the Mystery with me

Episode- 4

That day Raven left early after checking on me. It made me realize that I can not just sit back at home and do nothing. I decide to live my life normally and secretly look into the case. It is the least I can do for her and prove everyone wrong.

My day started as usual, got up, took bath, had breakfast and went to school. I started my investigation with my very first lead. 

It was during the lunch break when I saw my very first lead sitting at the corner table with a group. Raven was having his lunch with bunch of his friends, but his behavior looked a bit different. He wasn't engaging much with his friends, it was as if he has not recovered for his sister's death. Everyone around him were happy, laughing, enjoying and etc. Raven was least interested. He wasn't even interacting with his friends. With a dull face he sat in the corner feeling sorry for himself.

Why is Emma continuously looking at me with those eyes? I could clearly tell that she was observing me. I left my seat and started walking towards her. "Hey do you have some work with me?"  my curiousness spoke out first. "Nothing just finding a seat to sit". "Where is Lexi?". A shit, I couldn't even think before speaking. It seems as if it was yesterday only when they both were fighting for a piece of meat. "Sorry, I didn't mean to". "It's fine I can understand." 

"Let's find you a seat." Her nod said it all. I don't know why I said that line. She was staring at her lunch. I could clearly tell by her face the she was hungry and wanted to finish her whole plate, but she wasn't feeling to eat. 

There was an awkward silence flowing between us and I needed to stop the wind." Hey, you have something to tell me or ask me?" At first she looked at my face as if she was trying to read my mind, but I am sure she could not read it at all. The silence broke from her side and her vocal cord started working." I am going to investigate it." "Ok!" I know she got confused from my answer. I was kind of excepting something like this from her so I wasn't shocked. "So from where are you going to start?" 

"You"

"Alright, then ask " she took out her phone from her pocket and asked for my permission, if she could record my statements. She started recording through her phone. 

"So where were you on 5th august?

"On 5th august, I reached home late. I don't remember the exact time as I was drunk but it was sure past midnight. "

"Did you find anything unusual when you returned home?"

"Let me think... Yeah there was a car standing down the ally. It was kind of strange because there were people inside the car and it was as if they were waiting for someone"

"What about Lexi? How was her behavior that day?"

"She was quite normal, except the time when I come back home late"

"How was she behaving?"

"My memory is kind of haze but what I remember is that the lights of her room were open and there was a sound coming from inside."

"What kind of sound?"

"Sound of two people talking to each other. I am sure one was of Lexi but I wasn't able to recognize the other voice."

"Did you talked about all this with the police?"

"Yep I did, but because I was drunk they said that my statements can not be considered.''

"Thankyou Raven for your time." She closed her recording and kept her phone in her pocket.

 "Since you are going to investigate my sister's case, I would like to offer my help."
