Chapter Seven: Graduation Day and Dinner Surprises
The grand hall of the Advanced Nurturing High School was filled with proud parents, accomplished students, and an air of excitement. The year had come to an end, and today marked the graduation ceremony of the top class—Class S. At the top of this elite group was none other than Yuki Ayanokōji, a name that had become synonymous with brilliance and excellence throughout the school.
Yuki stood on the stage, receiving her diploma from the principal, her face calm and composed. She had been the undisputed number one student in the country, surpassing all expectations and setting new records. As she looked out at the audience, she saw her parents, Kiyotaka and Arisu, seated together with Professor Ayanokōji. They all looked back at her with pride, and her heart swelled with happiness. This was a moment she had worked hard for, and she was glad to have her family there to share it with her.
After the ceremony, Yuki met her parents outside the hall, where they embraced her warmly.
"We're so proud of you, Yuki," Arisu said, her voice full of emotion. "You've accomplished so much."
Kiyotaka smiled, a rare softness in his eyes. "You've exceeded every expectation. Well done, Yuki."
Yuki beamed up at them, but there was a hint of nervousness in her expression. "Thank you, Mama, Daddy. There's something I want to talk to you about."
"Oh?" Kiyotaka raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Yuki hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "I... I have someone I want you to meet. My boyfriend."
Arisu's eyes widened in surprise, though a small smile quickly tugged at her lips. "Oh, is that so?"
Kiyotaka's expression remained unreadable, but his gaze sharpened slightly. "Your boyfriend?"
"Yes, Daddy," Yuki replied, her nerves starting to show. "He's a good person, and we've been together for a while now. I thought it was time you met him."
Kiyotaka exchanged a glance with Arisu, who nodded encouragingly. "Alright, Yuki. Bring him over," Kiyotaka said calmly.
Yuki nodded, quickly scanning the crowd before spotting her boyfriend. She waved him over, and a tall, well-built young man with dark hair approached them. He had a confident air about him, but as he got closer, it was clear that he was sweating profusely. His eyes darted nervously between Kiyotaka, Arisu, and Professor Ayanokōji.
"Mom, Dad, Grandpa... this is my boyfriend, Haruto," Yuki introduced him with a bright smile.
Haruto, despite his nerves, managed to bow politely. "It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Ayanokōji, Mrs. Ayanokōji, and Professor Ayanokōji."
Arisu, who had been watching Haruto's nervous behavior with amusement, stifled a quiet laugh. "Relax, Haruto. We don't bite," she said, her tone gentle.
Haruto smiled weakly, but it was clear that the presence of Kiyotaka and Professor Ayanokōji was making him more nervous than he wanted to admit. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, trying to calm himself.
Yuki, who hadn't noticed Haruto's anxiety at first, finally picked up on it and frowned slightly. "Haruto, why are you sweating so much? Are you okay?"
Haruto glanced at her, his expression sheepish. "I'm fine, Yuki. It's just... meeting your family is a bit overwhelming."
Yuki tilted her head, genuinely confused. "But why? They're just my parents and grandpa."
Kiyotaka and Arisu exchanged a look, and Arisu gave her husband a small, knowing smile. Kiyotaka, for his part, remained composed, though there was a slight amusement in his eyes.
