Edward

10:26pm

Hey sis how's college going?

Sabrina

10:29pm

College is going alright thank you, so right now we are just chilling and filling out the paperwork we need but pretty excited because this course has been my dream course since forever. What about you Eds?

Edward

10:33pm

That seems cool, hope you enjoy it, College is same old same old, I'm still getting bullied, The teachers don't seem to care that much, but yeah anyways hope you enjoy college, miss you, see you soon?

Present day

Sabrina

6:17pm

See how much you've changed, it's concerning so when I next get time of college, I'm coming over to see you, and we are going to have a fun time watching movies and eating junk.

Edward

6:22pm

Ok, although I don't really watch TV anymore, plus Mark says it will give me square eyes anyways so.

Sabrina

6:26pm

Wow Ed...I know you don't believe that. Even more proof that you've changed. You loved watching movies with me and playing board games, and you were never one for being angry ever, and now you are suddenly angry all the time, not replying to my messages when I talk about it and not wanting to spend anytime with anyone, anyways I'll be over in a week, see you then, love you Eds.

Edward

6:27pm

Ok, love you.

"Move your ass and hurry up!" Mark yelled

"Ok where are we going?" Edward asked

"Food shopping, let's go" Mark said.

Edward stared out the rain-streaked window, feeling a mix of irritation and boredom.

His Stepdad, Mark, was driving, he was annoyed and irratated. The car was tense, filled with anger, and the heavy sound of rain.

Mark grumbled, "Why do you always have to be so difficult?"

Edward sighed. "I wanted a cola as well with chocolate, I'm tired. Can we not argue right now?"

Mark glanced at him through the rearview mirror. "You think you're too good for this family, I said you could get one thing, ONE THING! "I work hard, and all I get is Attitude."

Edward rolled his eyes. He had learned not to argue when Mark was like this. Since his mom died a year ago, Mark had taken over as his stepdad, and he was always angry and was drinking every weekend.

Mark went on, "Your mom would be disappointed in you. She'd expect you to alot more respectful towards me."

Edward's stomach knotted at the mention of his mom. He had been trying to keep his emotions in check, but hearing Mark talk about her always made it worse. "Don't talk about her," he said quietly.

Mark's grip on the wheel tightened. "What did you say?"

"Nothing," Edward said quickly. He stared out the window, trying to ignore the growing tension.

The car hit a deep puddle, causing it to jerk forward. Edward's stomach churned as Mark cursed and became more agitated

"See what happens when you open your mouth?" Mark snapped. "You're always causing problems."

Edward remained silent. He just wanted to get home and escape to his room. He hated the car rides filled with Mark's anger.

Suddenly, the car swerved. Edward's heart raced as everything around him spun. Mark cursed louder, trying to control the car, it skidded on the wet road, luckily there was no crash. Edwards head was thrown forward hitting the back of the front seat. everything went black.

-Edwards POV-

I woke up with my head throbbing, luckily the rest of the ride home was quiet apart from the rain. We eventually got home, as I was walking to the front door, Mark was behind me trying to get my attention, I ignored him "Edward, get back here!" he yelled. I felt so angry and annoyed "Just leave me alone!" I yelled back

He just stared at me with a stupid look on his face "you're losing it" I'm losing it? LOSING IT? I said to myself.
I shook my head at him, pissed off at him I started yelling at him "I'm sick of this! I'm sick of you!"

Before he could catch up to me, I ran up to my room and shut the door. Luckily he didn't follow, he just went to the living room to watch sports.

I tried going to sleep, I was so angry I couldn't sleep with all this anger, It was taking me ages to calm down.

-END OF POV-

As he lay there, a sudden chill ran down his spine. He looked up at the window. The rain had slowed. Through the mist, he saw a dark figure standing outside in the yard. It was tall and shadowy, staring right at him.

Edward's heart raced. He tried to see more, but the figure didn't move. The figure just kept looking through Edwards window

"Eddie" the figure said in a hushed tone

He gasped and backed away from the window. When he looked again, the figure was gone. What the actual hell, Edward though to himself.

Edward didn't know how to feel, the only person who was known to call him that, was his Mother, but it couldn't have been her. She's dead. He thought to himself.

Edward knew he had seen something, and he knew what he had heard, but this, this was strange.
He shut his window and tried to get some sleep but he was kept up, his mind racing with thoughts as to who it could be.

Edward was starting to get really frustrated, he got his MP3 player and played whatever music he had on it and he eventually fell asleep.
