I pout as flour spills across the counter. "Eliza!" I call out, struggling to suppress my laughter. She raises her hands in surrender, a mischievous grin on her face.
My chat begins to flood with LULW and OMEGALUL, making me roll my eyes. "Chat, this isn't funny! She's going to leave, and then I'll be stuck cleaning this up by myself!"
"Hey, you asked me to come over and help you bake pumpkin muffins. I don't want to hear it!" Eliza retorts, stirring the batter in the bowl.
I huff and roll my eyes, focusing on preparing the cream cheese filling. Once the batter is ready, I pipe the cream cheese filling into the tin and place it in the oven.
"Eliza, clean up your mess," I instruct, pointing at the scattered flour. Her eyes widen in mockery. "Fine, fine," she replies, heading off to retrieve the cleaning supplies.
"Alright, chat. What's new?" I ask, moving my laptop to the kitchen table and settling into a chair in front of the camera.
"Are you still in New York?" I read aloud. "Yes, I'm still here. I've been considering a move, possibly to Los Angeles," I admit, taking a sip of my tea.
"Why California?" comes the next question. "Because it's nicer there. I've lived in New York my entire life and need a change of scenery... and somewhere without rats..."
"New York? Isn't that where J Schlatt is from?" I pause for a moment after reading the question, then contemplate. "I don't know who J Schlatt is, so I can't answer that," I say with a playful laugh, hoping my brief hesitation goes unnoticed.
"Yeah, that's where he used to live. He doesn't anymore," the chat replies. I quickly shift my focus away from the flood of "Schlatt" comments.
"Gi, I got the supplies!" Eliza sings as she returns to the kitchen. I give her a slow clap. "I'm so proud you managed to clean up after yourself."
She rolls her eyes playfully and flips me off before starting to clean the counter.
I turn back to the chat, offering a small, reserved smile. "Alright, ask me and Eliza questions while she cleans and the muffins bake."
As the chat scrolls rapidly, my eyes strain to keep up. "Oh, this is a good one!" I exclaim, setting my tea aside. "How did you two meet? It's quite simple. A few years ago, I went to a bar to drown my sorrows. Some guy tried to hit on me, but Eliza intervened and rescued me from the situation. We've been best friends ever since," I recount with a chuckle. Eliza laughs heartily. "Chat, you should have seen the look on her face when Jo—"
I swiftly cut her off and move to the next question. "Dream stream collaboration? That's a tough one..." I pause before Eliza chimes in. "I'd love to collaborate with Ludwig. I think he'd be a lot of fun to game with or do a challenge."
"That's a great choice... I'd probably want to collaborate with QT, since she also bakes on stream. We could do a baking contest or, even better, host our own competition!" I suggest, eliciting an enthusiastic response from the chat.
