                                                                                         Prologue

Many generations ago, in a world advanced by technology created in Japan, clans controlled territories, each of which had specific traits and powers that helped them thrive. In the valley of the moon lived the clan of Craiser, a peaceful farming clan that used their powers of matter and energy manipulation to shift and change the areas surrounding the clan to benefit their crops. They can create mountains and shape the world, yet they are still the most peaceful clans, never starting wars and trying to resolve any existing conflict. Their powers leave them drained, resulting in them needing to eat a lot, not to mention their fast metabolism. The second was the clan of Katsune, wielders of powerful dark magic and poison manipulation. These clans worshiped gods that resembled the bear and shark. They believed that the bears carved the mountains, and the sharks swam through the earth, creating the valleys, including the valley they resided in.

Next were the clans that lived on the tops of the mountain. They consisted of the clan of Avior, the users of gravity manipulation and plasma control. The other clan is the Kukimatzu, controllers of weather and light. These clans worshiped the phoenix and the dog, as they believed the phoenix created the sun, and became friends with the dog, having it carry it along the day, they feel the phases of the moon are created when the dog bites the moon, thinking it as a mere ball for it to play with.

Next comes the clans that reside by the ocean. The first of the clans is the clan Posidol. They make living dolls of fallen warriors, powers mostly unknown, yet the most common is their ability to stretch their limbs to great distances. The clan thrives off the secrecy surrounding them. It gives into the speculation that they are a race of living dolls that have gained a human consciousness, and have gained the extra powers of a sonic screech, and superspeed, along with extendable bodies. The next clan of Mizunokoro, the transmuting clan. They can shift their bodies to any liquid form, and transfer and control souls of anything that has one. They can even take over the body of something by shifting to their liquid state and entering their body. These clans worshiped the cheetah and the dragon, as they thought the cheetah once outsmarted the dragon, and the dragon's tears flooded the Earth, creating the oceans, lakes, and rivers of the world.

Finally, we have the clans of Chiyo and Draisho, living on the sides of the mountains. Clan Chiyo are controllers of fire and electricity, able to summon the hottest of flames and the most powerful of electrical currents. They can create flames hot enough to melt Tungsten, the most heat-resistant metal known to man, and summon strikes of lightning powerful enough to shake the Earth, as well as grant great bounds of speed. Clan Draisho is known as the most hostile and dominating of the clans by brute force. They control and summon hellfire, hot enough to smolder mountains. Their other power is the ability to create large explosions from their palms. Their blood flows like oil, and the heat from the fire they summon ignites it, creating blasts that level mountains and cause volcanic eruptions. The clans of fire worship wolves and boars. They say the wolf was hunting the boar, and when the wolf struck, its bite crushed the bones of the boar, creating great explosions that opened the ground, releasing the flames from the depths below, and the spirit of the boar came from the heavens as a bolt of lightning, striking the wolf, turning it to ash and smoke.

The clans all were equally strong with their powers, but in strength, clan Draisho ruled them all. After the creation of the clans, the founder of Draisho was a man by the same name, Yumekui Draisho. He was the most ruthless leader of all the clans, wishing for complete and utter domination. In a few short years, the Mizunokoro, Kukimatzu, and Katsune clans were wiped out from the Earth, leaving no survivors. Years later, after Craiser created large, nearly indestructible walls to keep the war out, Draisho grew his clan, and his strength, and in only a few minutes, the peaceful clan was gone. Only one child was left, taken captive and used for the schemes of the terrorizing clan. When Draisho took Chiyo, he never expected anyone to survive. Still, the child who did survive became one of the most brutal vigilantes in Japan, a warrior whose only reason to fight was Vengeance.
