Li Xiufen's smile grew even wider at Fu Sui's words, her eyes nearly disappearing from the joy.

Fu Hong, observing the "affectionate family" scene before him, rolled his eyes dramatically and leaned in to Fu Xiao, whispering, "This guy's mouth is like it's been dipped in honey. He really knows how to show off."

Fu Xiao, noticing his irritated expression, said softly, "Are you jealous?"

After all, Li Xiufen often showed disdain for him.

Fu Hong sneered, "Jealous? Don't be ridiculous. I just can't stand it..."

Fu Xiao responded with a quiet "Oh" and remained silent.

Meanwhile, Fu Sui started playing with Fu Kai, picking him up and asking, "Little Kai, do you still remember me?"

The child seemed a bit shy, wriggling out of his arms and running to Fu Xiao, nestling into her embrace. His big eyes curiously looked at Fu Sui and Fu Yu, the older brothers.

When Fu Sui's gaze met his, Fu Kai turned his little head away and buried himself deeper into Fu Xiao's arms, leaving only his little rear visible to Fu Sui.

Fu Sui: "......"

After a brief rest with a cup of tea, Fu Wei Lun prepared to head back. He walked over to Fu Xiao and said, "Xiao Xiao, I'm heading back now. While I'm gone, please help adjust Xiao Yu's health."

Fu Xiao smiled and said, "Third Uncle, I've already checked on Xiao Yu. Don't worry, his condition isn't too serious."

Fu Wei Lun patted her head affectionately. "Mm, I trust you. I've had someone buy some medicinal herbs from the county town. They'll be delivered later."

"Okay."

He then bade farewell to Grandpa Fu, mounted his bike, and left.

Fu Xiao's statement was true. Treating Fu Yu's weak health was straightforward for her. Using the spring water at home for a period would greatly improve his condition. However, since treatment was required, there were still things that needed to be prepared, including a different bathtub for the specific medicinal bath.

She approached Fu Yu and asked, "Elder Brother, is there a carpenter in the village?"

Fu Yu replied, "There are quite a few people who can do carpentry work in the village. What do you need?"

"For Xiao Yu's health, we need a special herbal bath..."

Fu Yu's condition was different from Grandpa Fu's. She intended to try a new remedy specifically for weakness. This treatment required a different type of tub, so she needed to prepare one.

Fu Yu smiled faintly. "You don't need to find a carpenter. My dad can make one."

Fu Xiao was surprised. "Uncle has this skill too?"

Li Xiufen, overhearing the conversation, proudly interjected, "When we got married, all thirty-six of the legs were made by your uncle himself."

Fu Yu replied, "But we don't have any ready wood at home."

Concerned about his brother's treatment, Fu Sui couldn't help but speak up. "Then let's go to the mountains and get some... Let's go now."

Fu Yu checked the time and, seeing it was still early, nodded. "Alright, let's head up the mountain."

Fu Yu, who was unwell, stayed at home, while the four siblings, carrying axes and backpacks, headed to the mountains.

Fu Yu was very familiar with the area and led them directly to a tree that could be cut down. It was a dead tree, permissible for logging.
