Work has become a huge part of my life and I love it despise having very little time to be doing anything else.

In the first five months, it was hard, but after five more months, I was able to grasp the concept of being not just a owner and chef, but blessed individual who got my engagement ring handed to me in a amateur Oreo cake with store bought icing on top.

It wasn't bad, being the first time Reinaldo actually baked something, but it was the effort he put into it.

Coming in after a long day of being on my feet making a huge chocolate sculpture of a birthday girl turning sixteen next week. I was greeted by the door opening and I know my employees were getting ready to leave so I didn't look up.

Only to smell a familiar cologne and that was all it took for my knees to get weak.

I turned and there he was, looking yummier than chocolate and holding his cake. I got a hug and a kiss on the cheek as greeting before he told me to join him to taste and criticize his cake.

I cleaned up before I rushed to him with a fork in hand.

He instead took the fork and fed me, knowing where he puts the ring and how I am careful when taking the first taste, so I wouldn't choke on the ring.

I began crying when I felt it, and I took it from my mouth and he went on his knees and proposed.

It took us one year and four months before he proposed. My mom and sister got to know him so all was alright in moving forward. I even met his sisters and family members, but to this day, I still believe his father dislikes me. Only nodding to me as a way of greeting, but he's open with everyone else. Even people he just met.

An for that, I stay busy and avoid Ralph Corp at all cost.

I go everywhere and do almost everything with my ring on. Smiling so bright wherever someone points it out or as me about it.

It was Miss Camila's birthday and she invited me to her black and white theme party which Naldo decided to pick me up for, as he knew the venue, but he wanted us to show up together.

In my platinum white cocktail dress with new and cute silver heels paired with an almost matching silver clutch. The only two jewelry I'm wearing is my engagement ring and the diamonds necklace Miss Cee gifted me last week when I told her about this event.

I researched the necklace and almost fainted at the zeros it had trailing behind. I almost didn't wear it in fear that it will be lost or stolen, but to safe face, I put it on and felt that the room will be staring from my neckline down to my slightly exposed breasts.

Even Naldo's eyes casted there a few time, fighting to look away but I said nothing as I greeted him when he came to pick me up. Filling my eyes will compliments all the way to our destination.

Soft instruments filled our ears when he entered with the line of people getting dropped off.

Heads turned and whispers spread like wild fire, making me hold onto Reinaldo arm, but with my ring on display, I saw a few eyes looked there.

"I don't attend these things." He whispers in my ear.

Nervous, I still giggled a little and looks up at him. "Even when it's your mom's birthday?"

"I normally send her gifts." He shrugged and I gasped lowly. "She knows I won't let you come alone so she sent you both our invitation."

I giggled again, running my hand on the length of his black tailored suit. "Thank you for coming with me, because I would hate to disappoint her by turning it down."
