The same way we got our family together for our wedding, it's the same with telling everyone about the new addition to the family.
Though less people were here, the most important ones were in attendance.
The way we revealed the news was that everyone had a brochure taped underneath their chairs and it reveals what this gathering was about.
The blue brochure said open and see. Inside are imagines of my ultrasound pictures and at the top it says, 'It's a boy".
They way they went about showing their surprise was screaming, squealing and clapping loudly.
Our mothers reached my side and almost pushed Naldo away to see my tummy.
All eyes went there and to showing off, Naldo puts his phone's flashlight light above it and the baby starts kicking. Making everyone see.
I looked up and the one thing I noticed was the faint smile on Rubens face.
I understand that he wants a child from Rue, but she's still so focus on her job. Trying so hard Ralph Corp trying really hard to keep the company from falling since Reinaldo left and papa pulled out his funding while others followed.
"Yuh did pregnant all this time?" Mommy asked and I nod.
"My my. That's why yuh nuh stop order jerk pork wid extra sauce." Aunty gasped.
"A him and him want it." I point to Naldo and my tummy.
"You were sick." Camila slaps her son on the arm. "It was morning sickness and you didn't say anything!"
He was the one feeling and having all the morning sickness symptoms. Thankfully.
"Surprise." He laughs, moving behind me to dodge her beating.
"Dearest." Papa walked over and I grinned.
"Guess who is turning great grand pops." I giggled, hugging him again.
"I'm so happy, that even my palm is scratching." He teases and I shook my head.
"Oh no. You're hand is really heavy when you're giving me money. Plus all the baby things have been bought..." I blurted and all eyes turns to me.
"All?" Dessa hissed.
"Yuh mean fih seh no baby shower?" Xoeyah glares at me.
I reached for Naldo's hand and quick slip behind him to hide.
"You've gotten everything? What about the nursery?" Uncle Justin asked and now Naldo turns to hide behind me.
"He did it alone." I point at him.
"Reinaldo." Everyone called.
"Look," he stood up straight. "I did it for our house. What's to say if you all did it at your homes and can have our baby stay there while we work on baby number two in a few months when she's ready again to go."
I gasped so loudly and the laughers were louder.
The End.
Though I'll be changing the name and cover for this book because it doesn't really match the storyline.
