"So what were you and my uncle talking about before I got there?" Kara asks as you two really started to pick up speed in the hovercraft, she stops looking at the skyline with her attention being fully concentrated on you.

You input the coordinates to the site as you realize you weren't going to be able to drive without ignoring Kara. you turn to her as you try to think about anything important that she would want to know from your talk with her uncle. "We actually didn't talk about much as he just wanted a blood sample, he did say something about me having a code name."

"So science stuff and military stuff that I can't hear about, but I was asking if he said anything about me or hinted at anything?" Kara crossed her arms as she's waiting for your answer, she clearly expected to hear something else, and she wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Surprisingly no, he was all about business, and it didn't even seem like he was expecting me to be there in the first place?" You decide to be the person asking questions this time around, this was mainly out of genuine curiosity as you didn't expect to be sneaking around with her.

"Oh that, I only told my mom about these dates as I didn't know how my dad or uncle would react to us." The Conversation seemed to have taken an unintended turn as Kara broke eye contact as she looked at the floor of the hovercraft.

You knew what she meant by reacting to us or more accurately you. The house of Zod was particularly popular as you guys represented the military might of the nation and the heavy hand of the council, once this is combined with your reputation as a lab experiment made it hard to make any friends except for Kara.

"I'm sorry." You were apologizing for the fact that she felt this way, the turn in the tone of the conversation and for what you were. it wasn't a fact you could change but something you had to live with for the rest of your life as a soldier.

"No Y/N, I am the one that should be apologizing here, and I am sorry for thinking like that. I know you didn't choose for any of this to happen, but I didn't want to risk being unable to hang out with you for what could be our last days." Kara reached out her hand across the seat towards you.

You begin to smile as you see Kara's hand and why she didn't hide everything, it didn't make you forget everything, but it did make you feel better as you start to reach out towards her. Then you hear a knock on the window of the hovercraft as you look over, you see that it was a border patrol officer, and you lower the window down.

"You have reached the border of Argo and unless you have official business across the wasteland, then I have to ask you to turn around or face punishment at the hands of the council." The Officer spoke like he was reading off of a script and was just disinterested in the entire affair.

"Yeah, just one second." You hold up a small box that opens to reveal a hologram of a signed document that allows you to leave the city for as long as you like. The officer looks at it for a second to verify that it's real before letting you through.

"That was pretty easy, aren't they afraid of it being fake and letting a random person through?" Kara was pretty shocked by how fast you two got through, she expected them to at least share the hovercraft for anyone else in the vehicle or something.

"Yeah, it's normally a lot slower and tedious, but I have the seal of house Zod on my pass." You didn't think much of it as you were used to going in and out the wasteland at this point. You swap the hovercraft to manual as there weren't any lanes in the wasteland for the hovercraft to follow.

"But what if someone faked your house seal or something?" Kara found this to be an even bigger lapse in security considering how easily some house seals can be faked, the guards didn't even call anyone to check to see if the seal was legit.
